I concur. Where's Ben and Dan 2010?
2. L.A. Noire

Hmm. So you just have to guess...? Not sure I like the sound of that :-/

Say what?! Why did they even bother with the name/buying the rights if there's so little connection?? Oh well, I'm enjoying the book anyway. Also: I noticed you said "Spoilers" but then didn't use the tags... I presume they weren't anything major then, but I didn't want to look incase they were?
4. Movie/TV recommendations

I've mentioned this several times in this thread, but nobody has ever picked up on it. I highly recommend it.
5. PSN Hack

I was shocked to read today that the PSN is still down after the hack that took place four weeks ago? I don't own a PS3, but I was wondering how this is affecting PS3 users... Does that mean the whole network is down? Like if XBL went down? No demos? No games you can buy? No multiplayer gaming? Has anyone had any important CC details stolen or anything like that? Really surprised that it's still down!
6. L.A. Noire

That doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. The two games I mentioned, I only picked because for me, they were worth buying at full price. It's just a coincidence that Rockstar is involved in all three.
7. L.A. Noire

Well it's more that complaint and the previous one... That the "sandbox" world is completely separate to the main game. It sort of reminds me of The Movies in that way, and it just feels like it may not be Rockstar's best. (Also note: I very rarely buy full price games, so it'd have to be Red Dead Redemption/GTAIV to make me consider buying it now, it's not a massive slight against a game if I don't buy full price! Also, the fact that I'm considering buying it at all is something for me.)
8. PSN Hack

Thank goodness for that... Hey, wait a minute.
9. L.A. Noire

Oh, wow. This sounds like a misfire. I'll wait until it's a budget game, if at all.
10. Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server

Yeah, of course I thought of that, but it was way more stilted and stiff compared to this effect. Also the camera was pretty stationary as it happened. I imagine there will be some kind of crazy chase sequence with the world going all wobbly in the future. I'm Terry Gilliam would do it if someone would give him a decent budget.

Holy shit. That's... amazing. Holy long before we see that as a main selling point in a game, or in a Hollywood movie action sequence? Incredible!
12. Portal 2

Totally agree You should try co-op, it's like the same, but more.
13. Movie/TV recommendations

*Phew* I'm hoping I can finally enjoy On Stranger Tides the book then, without feeling the pressure to see the movie while it's at the cinema.
14. Portal 2

"Play it cool, here come the space cops." Much better with subtitles!
15. Awesome Medical Breakthroughs Thread

Holy shit... real journalism! Hidden away on the NHS site. Amazing
16. Xbox Live / Windows Live

Strange, I just logged in with my Gmail account no problems. It didn't ask me to change it to a .live account or anything like that. Weird!
17. Movie/TV recommendations

In part 2, yes. But there's zero slapstick (or humour) in part 1. It's pretty gruelling (but I loved it!).
18. Bitchy thread tags

The about face was because we came up with a way for a retroactive amnesty to take place... Speaking of which, I wonder when we're going to get our new tagging system?
19. PSN Hack

Yeah, it's not great, but it's not too bad. Damn, I was hoping for another video, this time with a slightly sweater and nervous looking corporate overlord.

Another robotic hand! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-13378036
21. Movie/TV recommendations

Same here. When it gets psychologically twisted, I'd rather not be around. That said, I can love the more "traditional" horror movies, like The Evil Dead series (most people only remember the comedy, but the first one is gruelling and without laughs). With games, I just can't play stuff that has things that jump out at me. My adrenaline goes through the roof and it just becomes a totally unpleasant experience. That said, if I can relax myself enough to enjoy them, they can be fun. With movies, I love a good jump!
22. Movie/TV recommendations

I know what you mean. I couldn't play System Shock 2 for ages and ages. Eventually I found a patch which turned off random spawns, that way I could at least clear an area and feel relaxed. Isn't there some jumpy/scary bits in Half-Life 2? If so, I doubt I'd ever get past them
23. Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server

I like that! It's nice to know where people are.
24. Movie/TV recommendations

Do people still actually watch TV as it's broadcast??
