Getting angry in the cinema ruins a film, it's such a shame. The best thing is to try and find a seat where you can't see someone else's phone screen (e.g. the front of a section that's not too close to the screen), and away from anyone else who might talk. _A-KV_xkrnc

With a six channel(?) set-up, none of them could tell that two of them weren't working. The manager even said to me, "well nobody else has complained" -- typical British customer service. (Thankfully he became more amiable after that.) The trailer for Larry Crowne is really sinister when you remove the music.

Sorry to hear about the job you love to much, Miffy. You must be one of the last few projectionists in the western hemisphere. Speaking of which, I was watching HANNA the other day (great movie) in a cinema where the front left and right speakers weren't working (where most of the music lives -- grrr). I went and complained but none of the staff had any idea what the fuck I was talking about... And they have no projectionists. Afterwards I found a manager to let him know about the problem, and he didn't seem to understand either. It's very annoying I miss projectionists.

What does this mean? :-/ -
Doh. I missed this. When is Nintendo's?

Thoughts, feelings?

It's interesting, but I've ended up driving everywhere now, just because I like the world so much and I want to see more of it... although I get heavily penalised at the end of every case for having high-speed collisions with everyone :-/

Make sure you go into the options and enable everything, one-by-one, and then set the game to 1024x768 in the in game menu options. (That's if you want mouse-look, etc.)

Do a search for System Shock Portable. I've no idea why someone made it, but it's been out there for years with no complaints from anybody.

I reckon there are kids who would actually love that as a kids TV show... Maybe teenagers.

I know. It's crazy. Considering all the effort they put into it. Yep, but there must be some "normal" photography... even from films and such, from that era that could be used as a comparison by Bondi.

Hehe. There's plenty to dislike, and I do wonder if we're going to look back and go "that was Dragon's Lair bad!", but if you follow Forbin's advice, you might get into it like I have.

Huh. I don't remember saying I enjoyed GoldenEye... I actually despised it, especially the multiplayer. I'd been playing every kind of PC shooter, including Quake III online, when I finally played GE... and I hated the controls and the tiny screens and everything about it. But that doesn't mean it didn't change gaming. For lots of people that was their first experience of multi-player shooters, and they loved it. To them it was a revolution, and I think it opened the doors to console shooters and console multiplayer gaming. (Of course, I should admit that I totally sucked at GE, and consistently came in last during any MP play.... so that didn't help my enjoyment any, either.)

Still loving this (everything you was absolutely true, Forbin). I'm loving the detailed LA map... but does anyone know if anyone's done any comparisons with actual photos? The best I've seen is this: http://www.1947project.com/47PplaysLANoire (and it's all text). I'm surprised Bondi/Rockstar haven't released some "real life"/"in game" comparison shots themselves.

Wow. That's bonkers. Those guys changed gaming.

I guess, although we all only get 2 tags per thread.

Well if you have any requests, I'll let you know who wrote them

Holy cow, I love this game so much. When you "get" the game's logic, it can be really enjoyable. I think I'm addicted right now. I love the feeling that the game is letting me make mistakes and going along with it. Can't wait to see how it unfolds. Sure, the whole thing could have been done through FMV and I'm still unsure what the point of reconstructing an accurate version of 1947 LA was (as awesome as it is), but right now I'm not complaining.
-
Wow, that just doesn't seem possible. Did this really happen in real life. If so, how did you escape?
-
Well, well, well... Tanu, Tanu, Tanu... If this was LA Noire I'd have to press Y and point to the evidence. What thread was that in?
-
Huh. I didn't notice that! Thanks for pointing it out.

I hope they made the boobs bigger. Last time you could barely see them.
