He wasn't very involved after the killer was revealed, and there were other problems behind the scenes. Some directors came in and were trying to be "kooky" for the sake of it, because they didn't understand the shows delicate balance. Lynch got frustrated (I think) and left them to it, making Wild at Heart instead. He still loved the universe though, even if he didn't like what was done with it.

This is the second time you've tried to troll me this week. What gives?

I honestly can't imagine the situation reversed, so I don't know. From looking at it more, the strength of this case seems to come from the claim that they always planned to make a video game. So maybe it's not so far fetched after all.

What is it that you're disagreeing with exactly? There's not a single thing I disagree with in your post...?

I have more time now, so I'll explain why I said what I said. Please read it in whatever voice you consider most appropriate Copyright law is NOT there to protect the person who got there first. Apple were not the first company to make a phone called iPhone, they weren't even the first company named Apple. Copyright is there to protect something that's already doing well, so someone can't take advantage of your success. It's not there to stifle innovation and progression. Trench is an ultra obscure board game that isn't doing well. Their claim to the name across the entirety of Europe is absurd. Nobody buying Double Fine's game is thinking, "ooh! They made a video game of my favourite board game!" and then, "hey, wait a minute this isn't to do with the board game... I've been conned!". In short, Double Fine aren't trying to make money off the back of a successful IP. I predict the whole case is going to be resolved soon. What about this game, I wonder? http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/trenches/id340769953?mt=8 What about these games? How do they fit in? http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/68387/trenchzone http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/17660/trench-wars

Yes, I'm evil.

That reminds me. I borrowed this comic from this guy and it was good.

What a wonderfully ethical campsite... I love it!

Actually, I think it may have been the popular Burger Time (it just came to me as I read the previous posts... I've never really searched for it )... at least it resembled that more closely than Mr Wimpy. But was there home computer versions of BT? Wikipedia says it was consoles only?

Riddle me this, if you can. This was an old BBC Acorn (I think) game. It was a platformer in the vein of Chuckie Egg (single screen per level). You were a guy who had to run around knocking the ingredients of a burger off the levels onto the bottom of the screen, creating an entire sandwich. You did this while avoiding baddies. Any ideas?

This whole thing reminds me of Trenched, and that awful looking board game.

Only Cars and Cars 2 has been really sub-par, to my knowledge. The only other sequels they've done are Toy Story... right? (Am I forgetting something?) I loved all the TS movies.
-
Haha. Very good. Carry on.
-
I started watching it and couldn't... I still like Raimi's Spiderman. Why's it gone?
-
A lovely story. Hurrah for you!

A little harsh...?

Aye, fair enough. For my money everything is going "cloud" (a horribly overused phrase, I know). I think the future will be streaming - or at least delivered on-demand. Music, movies, games, all from subscriptions. The power of your hardware will become less relevant (as you say, but -) because it won't be used as much. I'll pay my monthly subscription, and I'll get access to a vast instant library. I reckon that new games will be the last to convert to this model. Time will tell if either of us is right!

There was something bugging me about Faith. Then I realised she was just too fat. So I fixed her. (It's a shame that it's too late for Dice to use my version. Oh well.)

No, it's WB. I found the link: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/07/20/jeff-smith-says-to-expect-a-3d-bone-trilogy-and-that-early-footage-is-mind-blowing/

Ugh. 1. He objected to an eternal afterlife because he'd get bored. 2. We're not talking about religion's use of heaven/reincarnation/afterlife -- we're talking about any definition of an afterlife, which could have included Dawkins's own. (It could also have included my definition, where boredom doesn't exist.) 3. Dawkins objects to the concept of a heaven and hell as a tool to manipulate people. He doesn't object to the concept of an afterlife -- How do I know? Because he actually said (if you want to know) "give me two or three hundred years". 4. You don't even know what I'm referring to, so why on earth are you trying to contradict me, or claim intimate knowledge of Dawkins's thoughts?
-
BBX is referring to a comment he made on the previous page.

I can appreciate that you can relate. I was partially joking. Living forever may indeed be boring, but it was just the fact that given the opportunity of any heaven, he'd prefer no heaven. (Presumably because if he didn't he'd be giving an inch towards religion, or something.)

It's finally getting off the ground, apparently. They recently showed 4mins to Smith and he said it looked "amazing". I think it's three animated movies now.

That's just a fan job, right? They went with the hot lady on the left for the final game, right...? (Also, her nose is actually the same size, they made her face shape more "anime", though.)
