The guy's a douche. He left his bro hanging, and then left his X-Box running. What about Electrical fires? The environment? Talk about irresponsible.

This is what happens when you start believing your own hype. The man is apparently unbelievably stubborn. Part of me wants to see what else he's changed.... probably the part of me that has to look when I drive past an accident.

Damn you, Orvidos! (BTW, here's an hour long interview with the two people behind the videos: http://hayekcenter.org/?p=4925 -- Yes, they say it's anti-Keynes and pro-Hayek... and the director first had his interest piqued when he heard Ron Paul.)

Sounds to me like you've been wowed by some flashy editing and rap music. This isn't a discussion about left versus right, I've heard all these "well reasoned and logical" viewpoints before. I live with a right wing housemate who went to Eton and Cambridge. Believe it or not, he's got the ability to be well reasoned and logical about his politics... In the four years we've lived together, three of them were spent working together. I've heard all these arguments before... I just disagree with them. But this discussion isn't about politics, it's about whether something is biased or not. You'll note that I don't think that the fact they're biased means these videos are bad. I'm not criticizing them for that, I'm just pointing it out. Hell, I love The Onion, and that's very left leaning, and it's also highly enjoyable. How this got to the level of personal politics, I don't know. The bottom line is: The people who made these videos are pushing right-wing politics/economics (in other words, Hayek's philosophies). Edit: No surprises, John Papola is very pro-Hayek, almost evangelical. http://econstories.tv/

Yes! Also, I think my graphics card is almost too powerful for the rest of my PC (not that I'm complaining). A XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 probably would have sufficed my machine, but I'm very happy with what I've got (Radeon HD 6870). It's possibly worth getting a ballpark idea of the difference you're likely to see by comparing benchmarks here: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/

Wow! It sounded familiar, but I never could have told you why!

Person A: Hey! This is this because of this! I say this, and this proves that this is this! And what's more this is this! Person B: No, that's totally wrong because of this. Person A: Well, what do you know? You think this because of this! So who can trust you? And what's more, what about all that? How would you deal with it? All your ideas would make BAD things happen for the average man! Person B: I don't think that at all. In fact, what I'd do would be good for everybody because of this and this. Person A got more "airtime", but Person B is presented as correct. See? It's kind of weird that people can't see that these videos are deliberately trying to manipulate them into thinking deregulated capitalism is a good idea.

What's the 0451 reference to, btw? Is it the temperature doors burn, or a reference to something else?

So that WAS Denial. I guess he missed this post. (Like I apparently missed his. Doh.) -
I remember throwing a body of out of a sky scraper in Deux Ex, and then looking out the broken window and watching all the passerbys run over and surround the body. That was pretty awesome AI.

? Did we watch the same videos? They were totally biased. I'll watch them again, just to re check my assessment, but from the "under dog" right though to always getting the last word, they seemed very biased to me...
-
Lol. Very good : tup:
-
Yeah, that would be pretty cool. It would be awesome if the original backgrounds/models were around, but I bet they're not even in the vaults... shame.
-
Well, duh. Of course I've heard of it.

Why is "millennium" spelt wrong on that sign? :-/ Edit: I can't say I agree with the arguments of those videos... They're very biased towards industry deregulation and "pure" capitalism. Not my cup of tea, despite how well made they are. XdepDjPDkVw

I guess healthy, natural sleep is better than taking red and blue Tuinals, or lipstick-red Seconals. Actually Orv, the best thing that helped me what learning more about sleep hygiene. Apparently it's the most common cause of insomnia. Can't guarantee it'll help you, but it's good practice, none-the-less.

I never even made it past the first 15 minutes of the first episode. I just couldn't watch it, it was THAT bad. So, to re-iterate, Season 6 (aka the real Season 5) is actually a return to form, then?

Hot damn! Yes, indeed! Thanks for the help, KJ!

It's not like he's made millions off this game or anything.

Well, the podcast is live. Listen and curse me for being mean to Kingz: http://mixnmojo.com/news/CC-15-Grim-Fandango-Deluxe

Hey! I made a guide to that game years ago. http://indyguide.mixnmojo.com/lcindex.shtml (Yikes. It really needs updating :-/)

(It's not the best.)

The straight to DVD movies, like "Benders Big Score". Do they count as Season 5?
