The video literally says: "It's very important that children are trained in ripping people's bodies to shreds. So come and buy some games with lots of killing, destruction and war." It's about as Daily Mail as it gets, if you ask me.
-
I've played video games my whole life. The idea that I've become a "trained killer" is beyond absurd. Why not demonize rock and roll while you're at it? (It's the Devil's music, don't you know?)

I walked past these guys on Friday night. They were queuing for the new Apple iPhone 4S. They took a week off work... The phone isn't released until next Friday. Made me think of this...
-
I've decided to let Orvidos choose for me. It was just too difficult.
-
It's a draw between you doing overtime, and you claiming your tax back... I just can't decide. Maybe if you went into more detail?
-
No. There's "remixed" versions of it, but they're not as good, IMO.
-
How so?

Yeah, it's on their feed but they don't seem to have mentioned it on the site. A bit crap of them. http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/double-fine-action-cast/id413892235

So apparently some CEO of a massive global corporation died today or something. Apparently some of the consumers of his company's products are holding candlelight vigils and changing their Facebook profile photos. http://www.fakesteve.net/2011/10/one-last-thing-r-i-p-steve-jobs.html -
This is pretty powerful stuff, but I couldn't find a YouTube version: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=188975267784344

Not funny, sir. Not funny at all. Schafer mentions that people are going to think there will be a Psychonauts 2 because of their sudden work on Psychonauts 1, but as I understand it, it goes something like this: A big fan decided to invest money in getting them to convert it to the Mac, while DF got the rights back to the game. In the new DF podcast, Schafer says there is no Psychonauts 2, simply because they don't have the money for it... unless Psychonauts 1 suddenly sells millions on Steam. I always thought an episodic sequel would work wonderfully for Psychonauts, given the structure of the game.
-
Hey, I totally understand feeling uncared for. I just don't understand claiming that DF are deliberately screwing people over. Also, apparently buying a game twice is the stupidest thing that dude has ever heard of - which is just a really dumb thing to say.
-
It's phenomenally good. Even better than I remember. I'm so enjoying playing through it again at the moment. Tim Schafer + Erik Wolpaw + Scott Campbell + Peter McConnell + Peter Chan + Other talented people = Pure Genius.
-
Wow. That's saying something. I guess I should check it out.

It's not enough for some people (comments section - reads from bottom to top): http://mixnmojo.com/news/Fan-makes-Psychonauts-Steam-patch-available-for-all

I didn't give you any advice. I just thought that you'd probably respond to BBX's mammoth post. As for unemployment, it will be different dependent on where you live. As none of us live in Spain, I doubt anyone can speak with certainty of your options. For example, here in the UK you could claim unemployment if you work less than 16 hours a week. You can also claim Income Support if your earnings are really low. Being self-employed is not a reason for claiming unemployment... obviously. If you're earning very little in your self-employment, you may qualify for some benefits to help pay the bills (such as Income Support or Housing Benefit), but I'm not even sure Spain has those. I'm pretty sure it's illegal for you to be working while not paying Social Security... although your parents are probably liable (they would be in the UK anyway, I think). Is there such a thing as Minimum Wage in Spain? If so, are you being paid it? If not, you parents are again breaking the law. Anyways, this whole situation is bonkers. I think BBX had some decent advice, and I don't think trying to claim unemployment is a solution. I'm sure there's a Spanish Benefits Office somewhere that would explain to you exactly what you are and are not entitled to. As for going for a blue collar job, here's all you need to know:

As I said, everything was stretched last night... but I could have sworn that videos were 4:3 when I first played the Steam version the day before. I vividly remember an orange box in the middle of my screen when the DF logo appeared and feeling chuffed. No amount of fiddling could repeat this yesterday, though. Ah, well. They're currently patching the problems, so if enough people complain about it on the DF forums, there's a chance they might sort it out.

You dare ignore the Life Coach™?
-
See? You'd convinced yourself you'd irreversibly ruined everything, and a few days later everything was fine.
-
Hmph. So this time I played it, everything was stretched. Still, a damn fine game. Forgot how much I utterly adore the universe. Sure, the game does a piss poor job of introducing your fellow campers, but I couldn't sleep last night, so I read all their profiles on the Psycho-Pedia. It really helped distinguish them when I played tonight.
