Random Psychonauts Tidbits (possible spoilers)

I did. No options appear in the dialogues. Do I need to do something special? -
If I'm right in my prediction, the market 'demand' for better and better graphics (at the expense of creative gameplay, etc.) will eventually be oversaturated. The demand will swing away from it. After all, how many ultra-photorealistic racers and Madden games can people take before they get bored with it, with the exact same gameplay? Those kinds of games will, of course, never go away, but there will be a buildup of a reactionary market. It won't be led by EA or even Ubisoft, but by comparably smaller developers looking to fill that increasing market. They will scout for small talented developers that turn out edgy, more original game concepts and court them with support and market exposure. By then high end graphics will be more accessible to mid level devs, and original IPs will have a much greater chance at flourishing. And that is when the big, big companies will take notice of this expanding market and finally follow suit. Much like the upscale realty people and yuppies following after us poor starving artists who they perceive as cutting edge and hip as we move from cheap neighbourhood to cheap neighbourhood just to be able to afford rent, in hopes that they could be perceived as cutting edge and hip by others, and in their wake the rents skyrocket in those neighbourhoods. And I'm probably talking out of my ass.

Can someone help me, please? I need to... -
It's probably not entirely accurate. For one thing we have no idea thus far what necessitated Rusalka's invention of a second birthdate here. It is evident that the birthdate she posted at the AG forums is the correct one in that she has not denied it to be false.
-
Well, it's not that. It's my estimation that, when Rusalka first signed up with AG forums (and it was in great part because she followed Kingz and to a lesser extent, Chris, there), she must have felt obligated to include her birthdate in the process, and not yet settling down to a level of comfort enjoyed by existing members, she never though twice about being truthful with that birthdate. Just like many new people joining any new forum - if you choose to include your birthdate, why lie about it? Typically the only thing you don't include is the year you were born, right? That or you just choose not to include the entire birthdate at all. But a lot of people Rusalka knows here at the Thumb she already has a history with over at Mojo, so she probably figured, for whatever reason, that she'd lie about which day and month she was born.

Heh, heh, I'm such a whore. I love watching this major pissing match between the giant console lords: Sony Considers 2005 PS3 Release A company rep hints at the possibility of a release this year. IGN.com

Your posted birthday at AG is the real one.

Actually I've printed them out and pasted them on the ceiling over my bed and late at night I.......

Those pics look like current Xbox screenshots precisely because they're early builds, and because the developers don't yet have full access to ALL the development amenities MS promised them. But if you need a better reminder, look at some screens from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:

If you want that move further up the coast.

LMFAO!!! That is PRICELESS! Alas, I'm moving away in a week, and I'll miss my niece (11) and nephew (7). I loved teasing them about this: "Hey, no kissing your stuffed toys! Do you want to get them pregnant?" "Stop jumping up and down on me or you'll get me pregnant!" "Next time you try to kiss me, use a condom!" -
IGN.com FAQ From what I've read you have to spend extra for it. This is because of licensing conflicts involving some hardware parts in the current Xbox, making it problematic to run current games on the 360. I already own an Xbox so it's not an issue for me, except to start saving money for the 360 now.
-
Also, remember that Microsoft is going out of their way to make it as easy as possible for game developers to code their games for Xbox 360, they are offering devs as many incentives as possible, including extensive consultation and technical backup. I bet this also includes top quality marketing and advertising for games. From what I've read they're being extremely generous, apparently a plan to snag as many developers as possible. If they truly follow up on this, the Japanese would really need to re-assess how they deal with developers. (I wonder how that multimillion dollar lawsuit against Sony for its copyright breach of their PS and PS2 controller vibration function is pending) Combine all that with wealth of customization the 360 promises, such as online purchasing of in-game accessories, an existing strong hardcore online community, and other goodies.

No, but you reminded me of how much I like the band.

I like Morphine. But right now I'm listening to Marianne Faithfull.

Aside from your I'm-older-thus-I-am-better-than-them dismissiveness, that's rather true. I will start putting money aside for this baby right away.

The controller looks somewhat unsubstantial somehow. But meh, I like it. It's ultimately the depth of its performance that will ultimately sell it.
