Somebody justify Beyond Good & Evil to me
Intrepid Homoludens replied to Steve's topic in Video Gaming
It's simple, really. BG&E had an endearing style to it, you felt the love the devs had for making it, the gameworld smiled at you and you could smile back. It wasn't meant to be an incredibly 'hardcore' experience, no. Instead if felt more like, say, an indie animated adventure feature film about a special young woman, her destiny, a planet on the verge of destruction, ecology, orphaned children, friendship, and sacrifice. Maybe you were expecting way too much more of it than I did, I dunno. I think it was one of the most endearing gaming experiences I've ever had, myself. -
You mean it's not you? If it were Kingz every other word would have been 'fuckin' and 'prostitutes' would have been 'independently employed women'.

That's what you have to find out when you play as police detectives Carla and Tyler in the following scenes.

Conceptually that has already been done at least once: Empire, film by Andy Warhol, 1964

Yeah, but is the game any good? Does it match the psychological impact of the advertising art?

What exactly is the difference? Which is better? I know that AGP is much better than regular PCI in terms of speed and performance, but what is exactly is PCI-Express? Thanks in advance.

You could say the same thing about sex.

I was hoping I didn't have to open it up. It belongs to my mate, he wouldn't mind if I used it for serious gaming, as my outdated Athlon can no longer handle titles like Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 (I should be able to afford a new system in a few months).

Yes, dinosaurs were featured in the original King Kong. Want proof? Watch this.

Shit, looks like big R's rig don't have an AGP slot. Thanks, guys, for your help.

Guys, another tech question. How do I find out if a motherboard has an AGP slot without opening the CPU up? What do I type in? Thanks in advance.

Kingz, I cannot believe you of all people would fail to see why. Just finished the game (after not playing it for weeks). Meat Circus was a bitch, but well worth it in the end. Raz looks fucking hot in that turtleneck and hair. -
So how's life treating you these days, hon?

If he was crazy then that's his motive.

I can't wait to hear the motive behind this.....or at least the possible motive, since the wife inadvertantly avenged herself.

Many people I see on the street walk baaaaaaaadly. No grace, no character. Me, I love my walk. I used to be pigeon-toed when I was around 11. Then one day when I was making my way with a friend to the mall, this Good Samaritan woman came up to me and said, "Darling, you keep walking like that you'll never get anywhere in life. Walk like you mean it! Embrace life in your walk!" And then she gave me a 2 minute lesson. It took me years to teach myself. I took a few performance art classes during art college. One of my performance artist instructors taught us to pretend that we had a single thread coming out from the top of our heads, and we're dangling and touching the floor at once, and to let our arms swing by themselves naturally. When you do this your spine straightens and you actually look taller and more confident and proud. Since then I've had people openly admire my gait, and even have been asked if I was a dancer. And what the hell is the moral of my fricking story? Oh, yeah: You get more girls who wanna meet you. (not that I'm interested in girls) -

Wow!!! Thanks for the link, OftenK! I'll try this thingy later. I'm not having problems that I know of but it's good to know this can come in handy.
