Right. Sneaking tens of millions of dollars in U.S. sales of Playstation 2 consoles with their requisite tactile response technology right over the nose of Immersion Corporation who patented that technology a long time ago? My, my.
-
Reiterating what nsps said, how could Sony, with their huge amount of legal resources, overlook this fairly obvious patent? How could any large company or anyone, for that matter? Surely they must have been aware that sooner or later they'd get their asses burned.

Evidently you haven't seen the trailer for Uwe Boll's Bloodrayne.

If you honestly feel that Miss Turtle Bitch really is terrible at her profession, why not talk to a counselor? Ask your fellow students if they feel the same way. Does she have a reputation of not doing good work in trying to educate her charges? Get proof. Teachers are no less subject to having the quality of their work evaluated than do other professionals like CEOs, nurse practitioners, and Starbucks barrristas. You have every right to complain to those in charge if you think you're not getting quality education. You have entrusted her to do her job, and she should keep her end of the bargain up. I've had my own experiences with shitty teachers back in my schooling days. The worst were some of my public high school teachers. They acted as if all they wanted was their paycheck every two weeks, they didn't give a damn about making sure we students learn and learn well. But I also had this one amazing English teacher in my senior year, Miss Withers, one of the most passionate teachers I ever had the privilege of being taught by. My GOD, not only did she teach us Engish, she introduced us to CULTURE. She even went out of her way to take us to our very first opera at the Lyric in downtown Chicago (one of the highest echelons of culture in the world), a matinee production of La Boheme. It was my first opera (certainly not my last). All her students got high grades, and I got nothing but straight A's in her class. I adored her. SHE is a teacher.

And publishers (far lesser than people). -
National Pubic Radio news, 3/28/05 The lawsuit from Immersion was originally filed in 2002. Sony Corporation will be allowed to continue selling their consoles with the Dual Shock controllers as they are expected to appeal the decision (after losing the suit and thus ordered to do so).

Well, like I always say, any political ideology sounds damn sexy.....until you throw people into the mix. -
Um, they licensed the technology from Immersion. As did other companies like Guillemot (the makes of Thrustmaster gamepads).

Considering the PSP is not quite as powerful as the PS2 but almost there, I doubt it. They'd have to make to some pretty noticeable sacrifices in the graphics, and for the whores it wouldn't be worth the purchase. However, I can see Psychonauts being successfully marketed to casual gamers with a weakness for techno gadgets. Or not.

D'you get his phone number?
-
Why don't you email them and ask? And do some fineprint reading on the site, I'm sure they list it somewhere. Better yet, get a toll free number and ask them that way.

I'm not sure that would really solve anything in the long run for those game companies. Once reports of overseas employee abuses start trickling in, accusations flying, and more legislations passed on an international level (as well as specific laws in those countries where the abuses took place), they'll be back where they started. All because the pricks want to have the games done by Christmas to sell millions. Also, this won't guarantee that games will increase in quality and decrease in bugs, precisely because those 3rd world employees are being abused to the point where lack of sleep and healthy life affects their performance to churn out good games. And as we all know, who wants to buy a shitty game? -
What is this? It better not be spam.

We already have those. They're called broken ATM machines.

I just think he's one of the most underused actors today. Yes, he's getting good roles, but I think he has quite a good range if given a chance. I think he's capable of doing comedy, drama, and whatever else is in between.
