  1. Current good PC games

Evidently it's all about the water.
  2. Psychonauts PC Demo out

Wow, that's cheap. I don't even mind that it's secondhand.
  3. Yet another Psychonauts thread

LOL!! Always the big whore, aren't you, Mo_0s? I seriously don't have a clue as to whose brain I'd like the most, and this is because I did a gamer's blackout on Psychonauts (remember when I officially declared it?). So, I don't know what the levels look like and how they're set up thematically and narratively. Guess there's only one way to find out:
  4. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

  5. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

    Oh.
  6. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

    What's wrong, Kingzlebub?
  7. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

Hey, congrats!! But I thought you were aiming for the PC version. Hmmm, maybe I should do the same thing. I have The Watchmaker, The Thing, and Unreal Tournament 2003, all for PC, and Curse: Eye of Isis and The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King for Xbox, and I don't want them anymore. How does the trade thing work, Jake?
  8. Psycho Store

Oh shut up, Kingz, and just get some and use them. They're a good thing, you can't deny that.
  9. Psycho Store

    All the pics are up?
  10. predictable much?

  11. predictable much?

    I love you, Jake.
  12. Psycho Store

Um, no. You DIDN'T have to do that. Next time you eat out on expenses be freaking conscientious! Order a Perrier water with a lemon wedge with your triple layer cheeseburger and fries, you tool!!!
  13. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

    Oh shit, yeah!! YEAH! YEAH!!!
  14. Psycho Store

And YOU need to start eating healthily.
  15. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

According the Gamestop's site it just arrived today. So I'll pick it up this Friday while I'm in the city.
  16. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

So, didn't it just ship today? I'm going into town this Friday, so it should be available at BestBuy or Gamestop by then, eh?
  17. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

Nah, not really. Honestly, I look forward to playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on the PC more that Psychonauts.
  18. Psychonauts = 9.5 from OXM

Okay, fellas, I want your HONEST advice here. And, Jake, shut up, okay?* Should I get it for Xbox? Price is no object, I can part with $54 (sales tax inc.). I'm feeling like a big slut anyway and would like to join in the orgy with everyone instead of having to wait weeks for a new computer and a new graphics card. Should I get the Xbox version? * You're the one who told me it's best on at least a Radeon 9600, and now I can't play it even on my sister's more powerful computer because my moron-in-law won't let me anymore. But I still love you.
  19. Psycho Store

Hey now, don't feel bad. Your innocent excitement just overwhelmed you, that's all. Now, bend over, this won't hurt one bit.....
  20. Psycho Store

So who gets to kick Moos's ass first?
  21. predictable much?

    Wormsie's dredge
  22. Psycho Store

How creepy of you. Hmmm, maybe you should wait until after Tim dies.
  23. I know this is old news, but I just stumbled on this. Those of you seriously intent on working in the games industry must listen to this audio story to know what you may be up against, what is being done about it, and what to possibly watch out for. It includes interviews with a couple of guys who worked for EA (one of whom suffered a heart attack because of it). Hopefully it won't be this way much longer (thanks to things being done, finally). Your starry eyed idealism aside, get off your asses and wake up! Mmph! Digital Culture Stressed-Out Game Designers Sue Software Maker NPR.org audio news Some details from this story: - 80+ hour work weeks, 3-4 months at a time - "you have to nearly destroy your body, destroy your relationships, have no life other than working on this game" - high blood pressure, heart troubles - doctor giving you antidepressents, medication for ulcers - heart attacks That's just at EA, and at the time they got a class action suit slapped on their greedy asses by disgruntled employees a few months back. But then Jason De la Rocca from the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) says that development companies trying to win contracts often make big promises, but once they're signed on they realize that the game needs to be done by Christmas, they have half the funding required to work on the game, they're very low on staff, and soon find themselves working 20 hour days and sleeping under their desks 7 days a week. Now, does that actually sound like fun?
  24. Wanna get into the games industry? Have a heart attack.

On a serious note, netmonkey, if you can get the attention of some people who work deep in the industry, ask them for advice. And many times during interviews with game sites and publications, they'll answer that typical question of how to get into the industry.
  25. Wanna get into the games industry? Have a heart attack.

Not if you can't spell their name right. Funny, isn't that the same exact face the employees of EA made after they got hired?
