Well, that's what I meant by performance. I'm already leaning towards XBox 360 over PS3, but mostly because of what I already know about Xbox and how MS are facilitating a more streamlined way for developers to make games for it. The PS3.....well, we know practically nothing about it right now so I can't compare yet.
-
Reall? All this time I thought it was performance and ultimately, software.

Did the same person who reviewed Psychonauts also review Jade Empire? I'm playing both - Psychonauts and Jade Empire - right now. And they are both exquisits, but each in its own way. At this point I'm only in the impressions stage, I haven't gone that far enough into either game to get a solid footing.

I did briefly, but my asshole brother-in-law locked me out of their computer. I got the Xbox version. I will be getting a new computer AND my own Xbox in about 3 weeks.

What I wanna know is, why the hell are people so obsessed with size?

I just got out of Oleander's head. That was sweet, but I just know it gets better and better! That last platforming bit in the rotating room was wicked! I'm back at the camp with my first merit badge. But I'm taking a break 'cause my niece kicked me off and is now playing her account (the game allows up to 3 accounts) and showing her friends who just came over. I'm happy she's getting into the game, too.
-
Is that the PS3? That is beautiful, like sculpture. I love both of them, really.

Good god, I'm loving every Psycho-minute of it!! I just got out of General Oleander's brain. But my niece kicked me out so she can play her account and show her friends (they're here for the bi-weekly neighbour's Bingo party), so I'll have to wait for a bit before I can play again. God Tim is in the details, people.
-
Awesome! My niece is done playing and it's my turn!
-
Why all the bashing? What's wrong with it?
-
I got the game, but haven't played that far to post spoilers yet.

It's wireless? That's pretty cool. I like the new design.

I bought the Xbox version yesterday at Gamestop when I was in the city, but I just started playing it this morning (I would have played last night but was way too exhausted, went to bed early). I didn't see any PC versions. I traded in 3 games I didn't want anymore (LOTR: Return of The King, Curse: Eye of Isis, and Morrowind), and got got Psychonauts for only $30. The guy asked me if I wanted to join their club for an extra $5 and explained the discounts, so I said okay, what's an extra five bucks. He gave me a free copy of Game Informer. I think it looks great on the t.v., but then I'm not that demanding. The controls are excellent so far, and seriously, once you get immersed in the world through chatting up the characters and just running around and looking you don't need to obsess over the pixel shading and other shit. If you have Xbox and can't wait, you might as well just it.
-
Yes, that is right. I forgot where I read it, but the soon-to-be old Xbox will be supported until 2007. Which is not bad at all considering its power and capabilities.
-
You say that with such ardently blind faith.

I'm actually planning to buy my own Xbox soon (the one I use is belongs to my niece and nephew, and I'm moving away so will need my own). When Xbox 360 comes out I'll wait a few months and then consider getting it.

Oh, and another good thing to remember for when you guys pre-order or plan on buying a game the day it comes out. When I called that Gamestop in Chicago where I'll go tomorrow, I asked the manager about pre-orders, how many copies of a game they get. He said that the number of copies ordered by a store depends on how many people pre-order the game, which made sense - supply and demand ratio. But then I asked if they typically order just a few more copies, say two or three more, in case anyone walks in and asks for it. He said yeah, usually one or two extra copies, not reserved for pre-order. In the case of THAT particular Gamestop, it's a brand new store in that neighbourhood, so not that many people know about it yet. Which means a slightly better chance of just stopping by cold turkey and finding a game on the day it comes out.

Yes and no. It's a hybrid. It's plays in the heat of the moment as a FPS, but it advances through the story and game as an RPG. Exquisitely.
-
Good god, Chris! You could have asked me for decorating advice, you know. It's my specialty.
-
Frightening. I would have picked ponyskin myself.
-
Yeah, I've had that happen in the past. I learned from then on to remember to ASK which version they have before even jumping into a car and driving there. Ask them exactly what time the shipments arrive, ask them to confirm your pre-order, make sure it's in the exact platform you specified, and ask if they physically have it in their hands because you will be driving there right now to get it and if it's not there, under your name, you'll be reporting them to the BBB.
-
(((((Kingz))))) I wish there were something I could do for you. Probably the best thing you should do is black out any threads here or elsewhere relating to the game until you have it in your hands. It's better if you don't know how people are enjoying it until you can join in with your fun. Don't worry, bud. Before you know it you'll be messing with Raz.

I just spoke with a manager at a Gamestop near where I'll be in town tomorrow, and he said I can trade in some games, and if I'm lucky they'll have a copy of Psychonauts for me after they reserve some of the shipment for pre-orders. I got Xbox copies of LOTR: Return Of The King, Curse: Eye Of Isis, and Morrowind (which I can always re-purchase later, I'm not interested in it now). Things look good.

Hahahahaha!! That's insane! I'll read the full article later. I love Peter! He's so fucking cute!
