  1. I wonder how Telltale is doing

They are doing fine, but they can't/ don't want to release the numbers for some obscure reasons.
  2. I think I see it too... is he aroused ?
  3. Connecting console to TV

Y is the luminosity(blue+red+green),Cb is Y-Blue channel and Cr is Y-Red channel... so you can easily get the Green Channel with a simple equation and it allows for consistency checking... which ensure an output image truer to the source than RGB. I mean, that's the theory when the signal is carried through by hertzian waves... I'm not sure you can find inconsistencies in a signal transmitted by wire from a nearby console.
  4. I'm rich!

You brits are being bullied because you're still using £, aren't you? If that's the case, wouldn't the best deal be to import everything from Europe?
  5. DS Games

If games were suddenly forced by law to warn about their content during the course of the game, they'd be very similar to Touch Detective and then ... we would be fucked : "And don't forget, you're a kid, you're not allowed to use matches" "Oh yeah... Bummer" is the kind of dialog that will pop in the game without warning. Thinking about it, the whole game is weird: it tries very, very hard to be extra cute but at the same time, all the minor NPCs are looking like dehydrated corpses. Also, during the course of the game, you'll encounter an ice-pick bearing teddy bear and there'll be clues that Cromwell is sleeping in an iron maiden. You could think that the game is subtle enough to adress children and adults alike but the puzzle are so illogical and terrible that I doubt such articulated thoughs have been put into it. The only nice features are the design (though I was disappointed the characters were not in full 3D but only rendered) and the fact you can read what your character says and what she thinks at the same time.
  6. I'm rich!

Ok, but then we'd need two version. First, the Premium Pack featuring HDSteel and XtremeSharpness© technologies which enable the guillotine to cut the fatest of the necks available, such as aristocrats', nobles' and royalties'. And next to it, you'd have the CorePack looking the same as the PremiumPack but without the aforementionned technologies, making NextGen HeadSevering only appliable to peasants, village idiots and chicken; i.e. thin necked third party products. Of course, you can always update to the other version thanks to BloodyHands Points you can obtain by paying for them or by severing lots of peasants heads.
  7. Wii heat

AHha! That is for trying to betray your fellow european citizen!
  8. ELMUERTE'S Thread of LIESSSS

Meh, so be it. And you don't seem to be the kind of person to be affected by other people not caring... and even if it was the case, you could always find some comfort in using your own --erm, I mean -- your male friend's anal stimulation toys
  9. ELMUERTE'S Thread of LIESSSS

What if we don't care ?

  11. Wifi

I don't understand... the GC pad was the only one that didn't give me freaking pains in the fingers, hand and the wrists after hours of play. I mus be a weirdo, cos I prefer it to the PS2 pad.
  12. Wii titles?

Rodi, did you notice that Rob and Ryan hugely praised [N]Gamer in the last videoGaiden ? They considered it as "the last hope for video game paper press" or some similar weird scottish statement... something about the writers hitting their chest while shouting " Games, GAMES, GAMES!!!!"
  13. PlayStation Mayhem

Morons' Flying Circus, I tell you, Morons' Flying Circus....
  14. Wii titles?

    eheheh.
  15. Idiots argue about next gen consoles

You know what ? I would looooove those 'wankers' to take advantages of all the MORONS who are prepared to pay such a ridiculous price for a gaming system. There is no freakin' sane reason to pay this much, you gotta be an idiot. So well... screw rich idiots,I don't see the problem!
  16. Zune...

People should do this kind of check to see if their marketing stuff is potentially embarassing and weird.
  17. Kutagari actually Biz Wiz

Since the PS2, I always regarded launch days as the Official Days of Unleashed Capitalism and Retard Consumerism. Getting stampede for a freakin" gaming system?... err, no thanks. With this one, it is getting really creepy though. The only thing that warms my hearts is to think that hundreds of people are making shitloads of money because Ebay Retards are still around.
  18. Children of mana is shit

Maybe it's because everyone know that before the word has gone around that the game is shit, tens of thousands of fanboys dedicaded to the franchise would have bought the game; and that it would make the whole project economically aceeptable. Not on the long term for sure, but it's not like the video game industry has a memory anyway.
  19. DS Games

Trace Memory is a decent game with lots of flaws : the main plot is weak, the 'Cancel' sound is a high pitched fart, it is incredibly chatty (and the dialogs are ... well, in the tradition of Japanese anime) BUTI couldn't stop playing until I beat it. The game main strength is that it makes you care a lot about D's character and storyline very quickly ... this and the diverse but so-so gameplay are what made me going. I just got hold of Touch Detective, I'll be checking it soon.
  20. Congratulations SPAFF

You look like you're smoking an invisible cigarette. Isn't Claud, Alex's Doppleganger ? Or the other way around ? Or am I totally mistaken ?
  21. Congratulations SPAFF

Oooo, you had the unfathomable Claud Eggerton-Eggerton-Greene coming to your birthday party! Take that, Ronald Mc Donald! And happy birthday, Spaff.

  23. PS3 launch units drop a further 20%

I never had a console until I got a PS2 two months ago and someone lend me his gamecube... and the games I tried on this system never made me wait 15 to 30 seconds in load times. Never. So I'm not nostalgic, I just want to see the new generation of consoles do at least what the previous was doing right.
  24. Innovation in the video game industry

When I look at the PC offer in stores, I get all depressed and conclude that, yes innovation in the industry is poor.... but when I look at what is done on consoles, I can't say that anymore : innovation is in good shape and there's a lot of it; only, PC users and western players need to see more of it. Yep, but I think that what need to be realized is that because publishers are in it for he money - you can't blame them for that - the innovation will always take two steps : first, small games innovates because they have the structure and the guts to do so. Then big games spread the innovation to a larger group or promote the small team to bigger-little-less-innovative-yet-still innovate projects because, well, they have the money and the influence that allow them to do that. Innovation on big games must be a safe bet. So I would advice the producers to leave the independant market and its power of innovation alone while keeping an eye on it to retrieve some brains and put them in the Big Game. I mean... I think the movie industry and the new hollywood in the 70's worked well because they followed this kind of scheme(Scorcese and Friedkin were in that situation if I'm not mistaken).
  25. Sam and Max

Just finished it and it is suprinsgly good : I have some stuff to bitch about in terms of loading times and small freezes when characters enter the scene but on the content it is nearly flawless... which suprises me 'cause I really couldn't get into Hit the Road. On the whole, I feel like it is the first truly episodic game in the sense that it takes a great deal of advantages from the format and plays with it quite smartly. I'm surprised and happy that Telltale is the first to get that right. What pleases me most about Telltale and Culture Shock is to see them strip the adventure genre from the superficial : nearly everything revolves around dialogs and story, making most of the puzzles just a deal of understanding the circumstances and playing like the character would. I'm really greatful for the disappearance of object combinations and object chase. And then, obviously, the dialog : god, I usually smile at funny games, but this one made me laugh out loud ... and this something even Pyshonauts couldn't do. What's even greater is that they really got the animations right this time, it's really a huge leap from the Bone games : I'd even say I can't remember a game in which 3D animation looked as handcrafted as this, like 2D animation oftenly does. Meaning, even outside the dialogs, the SodaPoppers and the Inconvenicence store guy really exists as living characters. Jeez...I'm really surprised I responded so well to it!
