Well, sorry about that, I'm going to try to make this clearer. I'm not sure I understand the adjective 'cinematic' when it's used to qualify a game as a whole (vs applying the term to the narration of a game) and thus, I don't understand what people mean when they tag MGS as being the most cinematic game/series ever : does that mean that there are a lot of good cutscenes or does it also means something in terms of gameplay, scenario or writing ? (edit - if it can help you : I'm currently playing GTA4; would people say it's cinematic or not ? And why ?)

What does everybody mean by the MGS series being cinematic? The only MGS I've played is MGS2 and I've never been good enough to see the balance between cutscene and gameplay, so if somebody could give me a clue...

I liked it, but as usual with this season, there's treason everywhere and everybody's acts nuts on cue... every single character is doing something then regretting it, then undoing it, then pondering if they should really have undone it. And I don't think the 'Made you doubt!' moment was believable... has the character made any kind of joke before her line was closed ?

Yeah, I think what they meant is in-engine, no ingame - i.e. the features fo the engine allows this kind of things, but they can't guarantee the performances.

I'm actually very impressed by new design : it's far more detailed but it's still very reminiscent of the original game; that's quite a feature to achieve.

Arg, it's frustrating : I bought my copy of GTA4 on my last day in the US (@the virgin of Time Square nonetheless) and brought it along with the US console back to France. Thing is, I tried to use the Xbox 360 with an adapter to make it work with EU power socket, but it just blew up the fuse of the socket... I'm considering buying the official French power adapter for the 360, but I'm not sure if it'd work with the US console. Anybody knows anything about that ?

Isn't the bad guy also known as The Man? Frankly this trailer as a nice editing/directing (what's the translation for mise en scène?) but the content still reeks of ultimate badness, including the 3D models, the music and oh my god the animations. If it was a bit worse, it could be mistaken for the 3D shorts from Videogaiden (which, by the way, are my most hate segments of the show)

God, do I want to love this series, but I just like it really really much... myabe it's because I saw the second series and then the first one. Anyway, if you want a quick fix, there's still which is pretty awesome too.
