  1. All the machines hate me

So you're giving PC gaming up completely ?
  2. For those who don't have TF2 yet and don't want to buy it, there'll be a free week end following the heavy update so it will start the 22.
  3. All the machines hate me

Nope, something else : right click on my computer then choose manage, then in the left column under storage choose hard disk management (or something like that) : does the HD appear in the list ? And yes, partitioning will destroy your data. Try the batch file in the thread I linked to.
  4. All the machines hate me

Have you checked in the My Computer->Manage etc ... ? Thingy ? I had a similar problem a while a go and it was a problem of cached driver and/or corrupted file; there seems to be a solution to this problem though.
  5. All the machines hate me

Spybot is kinda limited in detecting & removing really nasty stuff : try malwarebytes, it saved my comp several times the past few months when Spybot and Ad-aware failed.
  6. All the machines hate me

Any OS ? Like Linux and Windows ? If it's only several version of windows, right click on workstation on your desktop, then choose Manage, then go into disk management and see if your HD shows up. If it does and it's somehow greyed, it might be a problem in the trend of having the same volume letter as another disk or something like that. If you just installed it, it might be a problem of selecting the jumper for master, slave, cable detect ... the latter one being sometimes buggy for some brand of HD. If all else fail, buy a cheap external box for your internal HD - it should be around 10$/€ and it's always useful anyway - and try plug it in via USB to see if it works that way.
  7. Wednesday is fine for me too.
  8. That's where the beauty of the medic class comes in : nobody expect you to help them, so when you fail, it's not that bad (usually you're the only one in your team to be a medic, so there's no comparison) and when you're good, you usually get lots of thanks. And you're beginning to be good and you're playing with friends/acquaintances, it's awesome. That's inexcusable... maybe we can wait for the free week end that will surely come with the next update (in a week or two) ?
  9. American Mc Gee's Grimm

The issue is that this project isn't about the original version of the fairytale and how they were more meaningful; or how the mutation from Grimm's to Perrault's version of the same story tells something about the era they were crafted in or the writers... it's just about a nasty little gnome pissing around to make the story naughtier (while not regaining their original form I think) and more violent. It's entertaining for a while but disappointing seeing how interesting fairytales are in that regard and how McGee's Alice was successul in the same domain
  10. American Mc Gee's Grimm

Downloaded and finished the second episode in the time between my original post and this one. Basically, it's a total conversion of the first episode for the Little Red Riding Hood tale : it's not bad but it's pretty unsurprising. Apparently all the following episodes will be free for 24 hours after their release. If you're able the finish them in 30 minutes (finding the bonus included), I wonder how Gametap is going to make money out of this. NB : the 'nice' visuals are not as similar to Katamari as I described them. Loading panels in-between levels evoke power ups for Grimm but they can't be found in these ...
  11. Where is everybody?

    Here it is! More here
  12. Where is everybody?

Isn't that true ? Anyway, photos would be awesome : I would actually pay (a little) to get a photo of the IT team drawing a screenshot of a game with Grodon 'Berserker' Brown
  13. Fallout 3: Proving the haters are right?

Even if it's all good stuff, I wouldn't be happy... I'm having trouble articulating this and I know this is too early to throw conclusion around but I hope it will make sense. Bethesda is a high profile developer with enough resource and leverage that they can pretty much do whatever they want inside an 'acceptable canvas'. Them tackling Fallout and deciding to make it a First Person RPG with heavy FPS element, they knowingly picked the risks and challenges of the title : story and RPG, they've been doing them for 2 decades now, so they clearly needed to spend resource first and foremost on the FPS and not-so-realtime areas. In the FPS department they've got a huge number of game to grab good mechanisms from, so if they fail at hugely improving the only elements they are taking risks on, I'll personally have issues finding them excuses ... even more if they only manage to pull off stuff they've been good at for years.
  14. Fallout 3: Proving the haters are right?

I had no real preconception but now that I saw the game I don't like it : the game mechanisms for the realtime FPS looks rubbish (and the AI my God) and the not-real-time stuff is not even turn based, so it's also fucking useless.
  15. I can't find the words to describe how surrealist this is : http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36747.html
  16. Consolidation is good

Well, would anybody be as positive about the benefit of consolidation is this turns out to be true ? I wasn't all that hot about the approach of gore in the game, but it's a shame anyway.
  17. things that almost were

Those are awesome! There were used once in an article, weren't they? Who did them by the way?
  18. How are you guys? ...we're fine.

I sometimes totally sounds like this. On an unrelated note, I didn't know he did stand-ups : I thought he was too fucking drunk to do anything else than telly and movies.
  19. Why so serious?

Goddammit, I just confirmed it's going to be released on the 13th of August in France. Luckily, Wall-e is being released next Wednesday.
  20. How are you guys? ...we're fine.

My mom is from Corsica and my dad is from the lorraine region, so even though I've lived in the South for years, I only have a hint of southern French accent ... but it does go into full throttle mode if I'm speaking with people from Toulouse or Marseille. As for my English, I don't know : I take pride in the fact that most people mistake me for a German guy but I know I pronounce the 'H' sound where I shouldn't and sometimes put s's in places they clearly don't belong. Plus I tend to use 'like' a lot, which makes me sound like a retarded cheerleader and I hate it. Someone told me it's very difficult to lose your accent in a foreign language after you're 20 because people put up with it and don't correct you anymore. You dutch people are really lucky to be exposed to so many languages at once and to have a national language that seems halfway from German and English.
  21. How are you guys? ...we're fine.

    But only a wee bit.
  22. I'm definitely not a fan of seeing stuff I love being adapted to other media but W&G did great on several formats (shorts, feature film, advertising) and Telltale might be the best pick to expand intelligently this universe though episodic gaming. However, if there's no doubt in my mind that the Telltale team is very talented, I'm not convinced they needed to confront themselves to such a perfect franchise in terms of visual and animation - aspects that usually suffers from the time constraints of episodic dev. W&G is also perfect in term of storytelling but by now, I kinda trust Telltale on this point. Definitely, their graphic engine need a lot of improvement to mimick the details and organic imperfections that make the W&G look. It's important because I don't think they'll be able go away with simplification this time. They released this encouraging image and I hope it's a target render and not just a bs-render as they definitely need to deliver this kind of quality (if not better) if they want their stuff to not just be considered merchandising. However, what's nice about this announcement is that it might foretell the return of Telltale to innovation toward physical puzzles which they haven't done enough of in the Sam & Max series : because a Wallace & Gromit adventure can't be as dialog-heavy as are Strong Bad, Sam & Max or even Bone, they'll need to do that to make the gameplay interesting.
  23. Why so serious?

I'm not going to see it tonight because the release date in France is a week from now.
  24. For anyone wanting to play MGS1, I think the gamecube version uses the engine and models from MGS2; it might prevent you from experiencing the 'retro-chock'
