I was hoping someone would have chewed me out by now. Anyway, the ending wasn't what I expected but I'm not foaming at the mouth over it, and I didn't even think it was bad when I got to it. I thought it was just sort of an Empire ending, really. I haven't looked into the cut material, but I had just assumed they did that to facilitate another KOTOR game at some point. Anyway, The ending isn't near as bad as people are making it out to be, and it's clearly not as abrupt or disappointing an ending as Halo 2.

Screw you all, it's great.

I would doubt highly that the promotional items get resupplied in the online stores once they run out.

Um, what if it only looks human but really is an alien? o_0

I think the subject of this thread has shifted to the noble Twi'lek. I think I heard the term first from some SW book many years ago, but the knowledge bubbled back to the surface of my brain when I was playing KOTOR 2. There's some Twi'lek goon in the bar on Onderon who brags about his lekku, and invites you to touch them. It's probably been 10+ years since I've been a Star Wars uberfan, but the knowledge gathered during that time DOES NOT GO AWAY EVER. -
This game is all kinds of quality.

Wait, I think I found one. Gives me another thought, too. What if the primary enemies are robots/droids/androids? LucasArts has used that trick repeatedly to avoid any sort of M-type rating, even with the apparently darker and edgier Republic Commando. What about if you're just killing clones? -

Perhaps if they were going to do this they would reword it to say 'the killing of anything that exudes sentience' that the player can readily perceive: For instance, if it talks in a language you can understand (or has subtitles), rather than just getting by on grunts. I guess Halo would be out by those rules, since the Covenant seem to speak English (though maybe you could have a whole game where you fight the Flood ). That's not to say that I support any bans when it comes to video games, it just seems like people who try to ban things don't understand the alternate consequences and all the possible interpretations of the language they put down on paper. They also probably don't play video games. Also: Lekku I can't find a smiley to appropriately convey my nerdiness for knowing that. -
Sticky it! NOW. Start a new shit post tradition.

And now I'm thinking they should remake Kings Quest in that engine. Hah.

Probably meant that it was some forum regular being a *********.

I'd say you're looking at completely the wrong aspects of digital art, Rodi. I also think you're describing illustration rather than real works of art in the digital medium. Yes, Photoshop and the like can help you get perfect shading, if that's what you're trying to do in the first place. I think of Photoshop as a tool, not a medium. Additionally, there's more to digital art than the realm of jpeg, so don't narrow your scope too much. Here are a couple people who do work that I like. Matt Siber: I just think the "Floating Logos" series is fucking great. Jeremy Blake: He does video work mostly, and did the sequences of color and shapes in Punch Drunk Love. Jon Haddock: The "Screenshot Series" (scroll down a bit on the gallery frame) basically rules. "Internet Sex Photos Series" (don't be alarmed by the title, guy) is also pretty thought-provoking, and you see an example of purposeful imperfection done in the digital medium. Please don't take this as a flame, but more a genuine appeal: Think about taking stuff you learned from painting and applying it to the digital canvas before you decide to punch a hole through your monitor and be rid of the medium completely. EDIT: I guess, overall, you should consider the 'why' over the 'what' when it comes to digital art, as with other art forms. EDIT EDIT: I agree with what the next person says.

Heh, I have one. I got it from Mike Stemmle, too. Yeah. I'm not really a gaming trinket collector, though; I even throw away my game boxes (!!!), so I'll stick with what I posted previously.

My comments in another thread seem to indicate perhaps that I hate it. I don't hate it, I just want to like it a lot more than I do. The comedy aspects are great, it's just very far from being a perfect game. However, it's probably worth getting if you can find it cheap.

Games everyone hates (but are really great!)

I haven't played the original, but I did like Shenmue 2 a lot... It's far from perfect though; most notably the voice acting is shit (yes, I have the english xbox version). -
Agh how the hell did I never learn of this until 2 weeks ago? At least Thrik can bolster the characters section of rzptn with that all those names and things.

NO!! Hey... no. Oh ********* yes. To prevent myself from making more posts like this further along in the thread, I'll predict future posts and reply to them now: Fuck you you suck. Dued rawk. <3

I thought Sam and Max: HTR was cool and charming because the gameplay was random and psychotic like the comics. I like that they end up doing the opposite of what they were hired to do. It really struck a chord with me when I first picked it up, which I think is basically the same with a lot of games. Sometimes, they just don't work for certain people. I fucking love that game though. Jesus.

I agree with Goldeneye, mostly because I can't discern what anything is in 4-player splitscreen mode even though my friends all love it to death.

Well, as much as I disagree with BG&E being on your list (though I've only played part of it, I enjoyed it a lot), looneyboi, it's a really interesting thread subject. I hate Syberia, and I often feel like I'm the only one who does, though a certain recent thread on these forums would seem to dispute this assumption. I guess another potential one for me would be Armed & Dangerous. A lot of people really enjoyed this game, it got a great review on Mojo. I really wanted to like it, but for me the game was really clunky, chunky, and repetitive. It just seemed unfinished, and I couldn't stand how badly my allies performed and how little I could control them. The cutscenes are atrociously ugly, as well. I couldn't finish it, but perhaps I will someday.

Oh wow, awesome site. Never seen it before. I like this one especially. Whoops, my url tag missed the intended anchor text, but I'm lazy. Like all my reviews, I give it
