  1. Cut Psychonauts stuff

CAJB000RA --> CAJB007RA are board messages that you can't read in the game. They come before the first ones you can read. I think originally you could walk around the whole camp before doing Basic Braining because there are a few other clips that you can't hear that take place before Basic Braining. Most all of them are from the Fords. I can't give exact files because I didn't write them down and I don't feel like listening to the 40 minutes of Ford lines again to find them.
  2. Random Psychonauts Tidbits (possible spoilers)

Yeah, hopefully that'll be a possibility with the Psychonauts Explorer thing someday. I'm not smart enough to know how to do that, so I had to cheat instead.

  4. Random Psychonauts Tidbits (possible spoilers)

Here are the clairvoyance screenshots I've gotten so far. I'll post the rest when I've gotten them. The ones that I'm guessing you probably haven't seen before are Elton's, Benny's, Bobby's, Oleander's, and the bear. I love Elton's...
  5. Seen any good movies lately?

I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night. I thought it was pretty good. I loved Elfman's score. It also had a new trailer for The Corpse Bride. Man, that movie looks fantastic. I can't really compare it to the other version since it's been years since I've seen it and I don't really remember it that well. I just read over at IMDb that the guy who wrote the screenplay for Charlie had never seen the old one, and when he watched after writing his version he was surprised by how dark it was. [edit]I just read this article over at IGN, and he seemed to think that the new one was darker. Interesting. He also said that he liked the new one better.
  6. Happy Birthday Alex!!!!

Threadless should become official sponsors of Idle T. Or at least someone should submit an Idle T design. heh, did you guys see this one? Oh, and happy birthday, Alex.
  7. Seen any good movies lately?

    Broken Flowers
  8. lifehacker

I'm probably one of the last people to discover it, but this site is awesome. Here's some of the awesome stuff I've found on it today. MediaMan EverNote Microsoft PowerToys The PowerToys that I downloaded were ClearType Tuner, Tweak UI, and Image Resizer. The ClearType Tuner is a must. Why the heck doesn't this come pre-installed? It's incredible just how much better everything looks now. The Tweak UI thing is also very nice. You can do fun stuff with it like turn off those irritating XP pop-up messages. There's a bunch of other cool stuff over at Lifehacker too, so if you haven't been there you should definitely check it out. Completely unrelated but I was just watching yesterday's Daily Show, and Jon was interviewing the author of Spanking the Donkey. Man, I really want to read that book. I wish I hadn't just ordered Harry Potter...
  9. Seen any good movies lately?

I just saw The Third Man last night. Without a doubt one of the best noirs.
  10. Cut Psychonauts stuff

orphanage: MINO036MI --> MINO054MI Sasha make-out fantasy: MINO028MI --> MINO030MI camera: MITU043MI --> MITU051MI not sure: MITU099MI --> MITU118MI cut character: MICK001CB --> MICK047CB and MICK001CL --> MICK0047CL (same lines different voices) Also, I'm not sure who SNHT030 is. The intro sound files don't appear to be in any of the files. Does anyone know if there is a way to access them? I'm just about to check the cds. [edit]No luck.
  11. Batman Begins. Verdict:

To be honest, I loved the movie, but I didn't really like Bale's Batman voice.
  12. Why isn't Psychonauts selling well?

Also, despite Majesco's marketing campaign they probably don't need to sell all that many copies to break even. They only had to pay for about a year of developement, right? The first couple years was pretty much a free ride from Microsoft since they just dropped the game instead of trying to sell it.
  13. Why isn't Psychonauts selling well?

It's possible that the whole "Psychonauts didn't sell" thing is a myth just like it was for Grim. I just watched the G4 program and Tim was saying that dispite what people say Grim actually more than broke even. He even got a royalty check from it. Of course, it probably wouldn't be much of a stretch to say that Psychonauts probably hasn't reached that point yet, but I'm guessing it'll probably end up going to same way as Grim. I for one have done my part and bought two copies of it.
  14. Favorite Psychonauts level

It's been a while since we've had a good Psychonauts thread. What was your favorite Psychonauts mind? My favorite I think is Waterloo World followed closely by the Brain Tumbler Experiment. Waterloo World felt the most complete to me. I liked its size, feel, humor, gameplay, and how it was non-linear. One of the few things that bugged me about most of the minds was how they felt like they were on rails, and you had to follow one set path throughout. But in Waterloo World you had freedom to go where ever whenever and do things in whatever order you liked. I really liked the Brain Tumbler Experiment for its atmosphere. That first part with the egg was one of the coolest parts of the game for me. Sure the level was short and straight forward, but it was dripping with atmosphere and mood.
  15. College Part 2

Ever seen Gilda? Obregon: You two kids love each other pretty terribly, don't you? Johnny Farrell: I hate her! Obregon: That's what I mean. It's the most curious love-hate pattern I've ever had the privilege of witnessing.
  16. Tim Schafer loves me

I just noticed that they've got pictures of the floaty pen up now. Man, it looks awesome.
  17. Tim Schafer loves me

I think I uploaded most of the music that wasn't included on the soundtrack here.
  18. Sony going to lose $100 on each PS3 sold?

I think I smell the next IdleT feature art.
  19. Tim Schafer loves me

Yeah, that was really weird. They didn't put any music on it from some of the minds, but had three tracks a piece for others. I don't get it. It's still good, but a little odd. I would have liked it more if they'd taken out a couple of the duplicates and had at least gotten a track from each area on there. My copy has the ever classic, "We are out of paper towels." on it. Oh yeah.
  20. Guess Which Movie

    http://www.guesswhichmovie.com/ rather addicting
  21. linux

I'm thinking about trying out linux this summer, which distibution should I use? I've been reading this page and they seem to recommend Mandriva and RedHat the most followed by Debian. I'm thinking of trying RedHat just because I think the Fedora name is awesome. Any suggestions? Also, does anyone have any good links I should check out?
  22. Guess Which Movie

There are some really easy ones and some ridiculously hard ones, like where they don't show main characters. If I remember correctly the one for Ray had two pictures of driving scenes that could be from just about any movie, but luckily it also had a picture of young Ray so it ended up being pretty easy. The first time I did it I answered about 80 or so and had around an 88%. Then I started over again after registering and I've currently answered 92 getting only 2 wrong. I had to skip a ton though. You can get most of them just by process of elemination.
  23. Gym class will now be... PSOne class?

Doesn't seem to have helped this kid.
  24. Vin Diesel brings Agent 47 to life

Hey, did you know that you're a band-width thief and a moron?
