I saw it tonight, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. It actually was pretty good. I haven't read the graphic novel it's based on, so I have nothing to compare it to. I'd certainly recommend seeing it, especially since there really isn't much else worth seeing in theaters these days.

I think I played the demo for the second one years ago. If I remember correctly, after wandering around some town it jumped to some point later in the game that involved combat and/or jumping. I really sucked at it. I think that made me not want to get the game despite all the good things I'd heard about it. How hard are the plateforming parts, and how much of the game is made up of them?

There's a new trailer out for it now. Like just about everyone else I was a bit skeptical when the first stuff came out, but this new trailer looks quite good. Looks like Pixar's going to pull off another one.

damn vampires. I was hoping to finish my last two thieves guild quests tonight, but instead I had to run around collecting crap for some old hag so I could be free of my affliction.

Yeah, I haven't robbed that many houses yet either. I'm currently focusing on finishing all of the thieves guild quests so I have access to all of the fences. Anyone have any good recommendations on places to rob?

Being a thief is a blast, though it doesn't always pay quite as well as I'd like. Last night I broke into someones house hoping for a fat score. They had a "hard" lock, so I figured they were a decent choice. After I got inside I discovered they had a dog. So, I coated one of my arrows with poison just to make sure the dog would go down in one shot. The poor dog didn't even know what hit him. I think the poison might have been a bit of overkill considering the x3 multiplier I currently have. I proceeded to loot the place. What a let down. You'd think that after a "hard" locked door, a dog, and three or four "hard" locked chests that I'd walk away with some pretty nice stuff. Nothing. For some reason this guy likes to keep his crap locked away in highly secure chests. So, I robed a store instead. Better loot, but not as much fun.

The main sites haven't even reviewed it yet. I'm guessing if Thumbs ever reviews it it probably wouldn't be published till this time next year at the earliest.

Is Lost really that good? I've only seen a couple random episodes on tv, and while I'm interested in finding out what the heck's going on, it seemed like there was too much crap to wade through what with the melodramatic flash-backs or what have you.

Yeah, towards the end they were getting a bit heavy on the Fry&Leela centric episodes (not that they still weren't great). Hopefully the new season will be more varied (Zoidberg!), but, to be honest, I don't really care what they do I'm just happy Futurama is coming back.

Yeah, from what I've heard and read the game is quite different from all the previous Metroids. This isn't a direct quote, but if I remember correctly in interview #2 the guy says something along the lines of the game not focusing as much on exploring but rather on fast paced action where you're always on the move. To be honest, that doesn't really sound all that appealing to me. I don't like constant pressure and the feeling that I have to keep moving because something's always after me. I had planed on getting it right when it came out, but I'm going to wait a little bit at least before considering getting it now.
