  1. The Wii's Launch

I think Eurogamer said that not all games are going to be region locked.
  2. The Wii's Launch

I haven't been able to tell from any of the reports if it's going to come with a controller for the virtual console. Does anyone know?
  3. The Amazing Screw-On Head

I've watched the first season of The Mighty Boosh and am about half-way through the second. I have to admit that I agree with Spaff -- I like the first season more. Why aren't they at the zoo anymore? I want more Bob Fossil!
  4. A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game

I really want to love Fallout, but I've never even been able to make it through the demo. The mechanics of the game just don't work for me. Planescape, on the other hand, I love. I'm actually currently trying to get it to run on linux, but have been unsuccessful so far. I've also been keeping an eye on the restoration mod for KotORII. They've been making a lot of progress over the past couple of months. I won't be at all surprised if it's released before the year's end.
  5. Battlestar Galactica webisodes

If you liked the pilot you'll love the series. It's far superior.
  6. Battlestar Galactica webisodes

Jammer was one of my least favorite characters, but it looks like he might be fairly interesting this season. I'm really looking forward to more Tigh and Chief action.
  7. Battlestar Galactica webisodes

Yeah, I thought the same thing. The season 3 preview at the end is great though.
  8. What's your favourite movie?

Let's see, of the ones I've watched so far: Fugitive Alien, Gamera vs Guiron (IMO, the best of the Gamera movies), Daddy-O, Pod People, Cave Dwellers, Hobgoblins, and The Touch of Satan. I haven't watched it yet, but Riding with Death is several of my friends' favorites.
  9. What's your favourite movie?

Dude, Marek, I just read you sig. I see you've experience the awesomeness of "Manos": The Hands of Fate. MST3K version? MST3K rules. I've downloaded a bunch of episodes this summer. Puma Man was the first episode I ever saw. It made me laugh so hard we had to stop the video a couple of times so I could breath. Also, I'm really looking forward to the release of Ridley Scott's definitive cut of Blade Runner. I wonder if Harrison's voice-overs will be included in this cut.
  10. What's your favourite movie?

Amelie Casablanca The Big Lebowski Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
  11. Cats

Cats are the greatest. Just don't forget about him in a week.
  12. Steven Colbert Bridge

Do your part! It's sort of funny that "Perl-Script híd" is currently in 4th.
  13. DS modding

The gui is called DS Organize. You could also use something like MoonShell. I don't understand what you're asking about the GBA slot.
  14. DS modding

I don't think I've ever tried running a GBA game off my compact flash card. If I were to guess, it'd probably work better than running a GB game as no emulator would be required, but I really have no idea. Out of curiosity, what are the rare games that you have?
  15. DS modding

What system are the games you want to run for? If you end up modding your DS so you can run old GB games on it you don't want to use GBAMP2 or, I assume, an M3. They can't handle running some of the games for some reason. I believe you'd have better luck if you used a GBA flash cart, but I can't say for sure as I don't have one.
  16. Bargain bin bounty

That good is it? hmm... I wonder if my ebgames still has it.
  17. Minish Cap?.... :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IFgbEctUzg Despite it starring that annoying prick Tingle, the game looks quite fun.
  18. Minish Cap?.... :)

Yeah, Oracle of Ages was brilliant.
  19. Team Fortress 2 and Portal

    awesome episode 2 footage
  20. Minish Cap?.... :)

You can press Start anywhere and get the option to Save or Sleep. Saves don't save your exact position though. If you save in a dungeon and then load the save, you'll be taken back to the start of the dungeon. Everything you did will still be done though. If you load a save in the overworld you'll be taken to the last building you were in. Sleep works like DS sleep, but you have to press L+R+Select to turn it back on. Nothing happens if you just close it.
  21. Minish Cap?.... :)

hmmm, you're right. I thought I remembered the closing-the-lid-sleep-mode working, but I just check it. You can, however, manually activate sleep mode within some GBA games, such as Metroid Fusion. As for the other Zelda games, I haven't played any of the 3d ones, but I can say that all of the 2d gameboy ones (Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages, and Oracle of Seasons) are excellent. Here, check out this thread.
  22. Movie/TV recommendations

meh, I don't think I'm going to watch anymore. From what I just read over at wikipedia it sounds like ABC really screwed Lynch over.
  23. Movie/TV recommendations

I just finished the first season of Twin Peaks. I think I recall a couple people here saying that the second season isn't the greatest. Is it worth watching any of or should I just avoid it?
  24. Minish Cap?.... :)

    1) Sleep mode works, and I believe GBA games are easier on the battery. 2) Minish Cap is . It looks pretty, but is probably the least good Zelda game I've played. 3) Yeah, the GBA A Link to the Past is the same game as the old SNES Zelda. It's really good, and far far superior to The Minish Cap. 4) I doubt they'll make NDS releases of any of their old Zelda games. I really hope that they'll at least re-release Link's Awakening and the two Oracle games for the GBA, so they can at least be played on the DS, but I'm guessing this isn't very likely either. 5) GBA games look great on the DS. No troubles. 6) You could check out Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission. There are also GBA ports for most of the original Mario games. The Pokemon games are supposed to be good, but I never played anything past the original Blue. The Castlevania games are also supposed to be good, and then there's always Wario Ware. [edit: sorry for the repeats. I'm slow.]
  25. NDS Homebrew

They're having a contest over at the Neoflash website. I've tried out most of the submissions, and was quite surprised just how good some of them are. Here are some of the better ones. MegaETk TetattDS Paddle Battle SFCave DS It's not that amazing of a game, but the use of the touch screen is great. Has anyone played any other homebrew DS games that they can recommend? I think I'll check out some more tomorrow.
