I just finished the intro section. The controls work great -- especially the aiming. My only complaint is that it made my hands hurt. Maybe it was the way I was sitting or holding the controllers. Anyone else have the Wii hurt their hands?

Irritating, fake interview, but Mike Mignola is wearing a Sam & Max shirt.

heh, it's pretty good. Reminiscent of The Mighty Boosh.

It seems like there are a ton of top notch DS games coming out here all at once. I'm having a hard time deciding what I'm going to buy. I'm, hopefully, going to be able to pick up Contact today, provided my ebgames has it in. Then next week Touch Detective comes out, and Children of Mana the week after. Elite Beat Agents, Yoshi's Island 2, and Final Fantasy III all come out early November. Then in December there's Hotel Dusk, Portrait of Ruin, and Kirby. I wonder when the new Pokemon is going to be released in the US.

All I can say is... Legendary: The Box

If I remember correctly, it's in the left side of that building, the one with the flag in front of it.

Does anyone here happen to have a Drowzee or Hypno? I've been waiting forever for that fucker to swarm and it's starting to get to me.

Scifi has put the first act (12 minutes) of Occupation up on Pulse. I just watched it. Oh man... it was fantastic! Another great editing piece. It also sounded like they were introducing in a new music style during it, or am I mistaken? It sounded mid-eastern to me. I was worried that they weren't going to be able to have Dean Stockwell in many episodes, but it doesn't look that's going to be the case. He's so great. I can't wait till this weekend.

I enjoyed watching Heroes. I thought the first 2/3 or so of the show was very well done, but around the time of that month long break I think the show lost its way. I think they had too many characters to keep track of with too many different powers and as a result they keep on introducing more and more inconsistencies, gaps in logic, and plot holes. For example: About the ending...

Yeah, I haven't played since Blue either.

Anyone else fucking hate Zubat? What are you guys' teams like? I just finished the bit where I got Dialga, and I'm currently primarily using Luxray, Empoleon, and Garchomp. I used to use Skuntank, but I replaced him when I got Gible. I have a Bibarel for Surfing, Strength, Rock Smash, and Rock Climbing, and a Noctowl for Flying and Defoging. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed with the original pokemon selection. There's so much water and grass, and so many freaking Zubats and Geodudes. argh! Also, I want my Hypno.

Love the cat, Spaff. Rusalka, when are you getting yours? While I was at my local comic book store this past week to pick up the new Hellboy, an amazing book caught my eye. If you're a cat lover you have to pick up Cat Getting Out of a Bag and Other Observations. It's just about the best thing ever.

"Ooh, a news post about Spore. It's meant to be out this year so it should b:- FFS!"

Either that or they're trying for a simultaneous cross-platform release. -
Sure it looks nice, but it's also super easy and has some of the lamest bosses ever.

My roommate and I recently discovered the wondrously addictive and incredibly awesome Bust-a-Move (SNES version), and have spent countless hours sitting around playing it over the past couple months. We will literally sit around playing it for at least a couple hours a day. Needless to say, I was quite pleased to hear that Majesco was going to release it for Wii, and promptly pre-ordered it. I just got it a couple of hours ago and I have to say it's a huge let down. They've made the game super easy and next to impossible to lose, but the worst part is that they completely raped the multiplayer. Don't get me wrong, the new Bust-a-Move versus mode on crack is pretty fun to play and it's awesome that it supports up to eight players, but it has nothing on the old split screen two-player, which they didn't even bother to include in the game. I don't know if there are any other Bust-a-Move fans here, but, if so, do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on Bust-a-Move Bash!. Has anyone played the Gamecube version?
-
I don't like that Bash's multiplayer is completely devoid of any strategy. Up to eight people can play and they're all playing in the same area. Different power-ups (like a ball that destroys every ball of the color it hits or a ball that makes your balls slide around after they hit) are constantly going across the screen via the UFOs. Everyone it shooting and everything is happening so fast that it is complete and utter chaos. With one ball you can literally eliminate the entire screen. Yeah, it's all crazy fun, but it's not challenging or addictive like the original Bust-a-Move. It would have been great if they would have included the new, more party oriented, versus mode along with better, original versus.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes? More like...a decent game.

Zero Mission kicks ass. -
Yeah, I agree with that. The second half of the game was pretty much just repetitive dungeon hopping. That's why you should play Majora. There is so much more character interaction. You even get a quest log like notebook to keep track of all the things you have to do.
-
I just finished Ocarina of Time for the first time this week too, and a couple days ago I started playing Majora's Mask for the first time. It's brilliant. I'm not very far into it yet, but so far I'm loving it much more than Ocarina. You should most definitely get it.

Ha! I just stumbled across this blog. While I think he's a bit too negative at times (even flat out wrong), he does make a couple good points. Here are some of my favorites. On Crossroads: On Maelstrom: On Dirty Hands:

I really hope that it comes down to Adama cracking for the sake of explaining his weird character shifts, but I'm guessing that it's probably just poor writing. A friend of mine said this recently, "It's weird how Adama is becoming the bad guy of the show." He's also pointed out how in general recently they've been manipulating their characters to make them do stuff that isn't really consistent with their character, like in that episode about the refining ship. Lord only knows why Adama and Roslin were acting like that. Speaking of Roslin, this season she's come across as a homeless person who has nothing better to do with her time than wander aimlessly around Galactica. Nice. I completely agree with you about Lampkin and Tigh too. Man, do they kick ass. Tigh's consistently been the best part of this season too. What with Baltar being sidelined and Adama being pulled every which way.

The recent episodes have been much much better. 17 and 18 would have fit right in the first or second season. 19 was half good and half crap. Does the Lee vs Adama thing feel like a rehash to anyone else? Couldn't they have done something a bit more original than just have them bicker again? Not to mention there really doesn't appear to be all that clear of a motive for it in the first place. Oh, and anyone listen to the podcast for 17? That bit with Olmos destroying the model ship worth hundreds of thousands of dollars is priceless.
