Looks like someone did a PiratePoo!

Ah, Generals! The only RTS I ever played with other people. I quite liked it too, but I'm not good at thinking strategically, so I'm neither fun to play with nor against.

You guys need to shut up about the comma;

So, Great game. Very fun, lots to do Some neat variations on driving Something resembling a story that makes sense Well paced – there are always story missions or various side missions to choose from. No repeat barks as far as I noticed. Good-looking and very smooth. Wins Most Fun Driving Sequence Powered By The Dew: a ten minute "hypercar" race on the freeway with borderline epic drifts, swerves, near-misses/near-collisions and the thing where your car is so low you can pass a trailer by going under it. God damn it, the soundtrack is just perfect.

Finished act 2. Still very good. I set out trying to get all the cog tags, but as is always the case I always manage to miss a handful even though I walk everywhere and break everything.

First of all: congrats on getting the <5 deaths thing. That's the sort of thing I get exhausted just thinking about – the ever-increasing level of stress must be soul crushing. Also, this secret level – never heard of it; was it added to the PC version, maybe?

Just (or to some degree) like Rodi I've been quite surprised at how fun this is. So far it has been just a shooter, but the shooting feels good (in the game sense, not in the crazy sense) and I love how most firefights end up with all my teammates incapacitated, and me hunkering down behind a concrete slab, exchanging short bursts across the battlefield with one or two remaining baddies. The first boss, the berserker, was luckily quite easy and forgiving. The first time it killed me I prepared to reload at the beginning of the level, but even in boss fights the checkpoints are, apparently, all over the place.

Yup. Though it could've ended with that, I'm the kind of person who don't know what's good for me and am happy as a fifty-cent fiddle on a father's day pie sale that they're doing a final season. There's plenty of interesting stuff and loose threads left to pull at, and the pure quality and confidence of the production just leaves me virtually smiling at the end of each episode – another season? Yes please.

No, that wasn't directed at you, but at elmuerte's reply (and not in a serious tone, I should probably add). Thanks for the tips on chainsawing. That'll spare me some frustration down the line, I'm sure.
-
I get it, I suck. Anyway, another thing I've noticed is that the chainsaw close-up attack never actually works when an enemy says "fuck it" and jumps over my cover. Since I always panic, I can't say exactly what I do, but I'm pretty sure it involves holding down B and hitting fire. I've never actually succeeded at fending off such an attack, though, as my guy does nothing and is then beaten to death. Is there a special technique to it other than holding B and hitting fire?

Has anyone played this yet? I guess it's out on the US already with all the complaints I've been hearing about the PC version. Hopefully there'll be a patch out by the time it's available here.

I know I'm going to fold sooner or later, but after my experience with failing to get a copy of Spore I bought through Origin to accept the serial key I got with the game, I'm going to try to stay away for as long as possible.

The most polished PC gaming experience I have ever had, from the moment I loaded up the game to I closed it for good just ten minutes ago. The way I can skip through the intro and jump straight into the game in under a minute, the way it alt-tabs without any issues, the way I can use my actual numpad to enter key codes, the way it keeps two autosaves, the way I can adjust the fov, scroll with the mouse-wheel, the flawless cover system, etc. The boss fights. The type of achievement that you can only know if you've "broken" by playing through the entire game. The last part of the game, where I felt my whole way of playing being discarded as I . All in all, just a huge amount of fun. Long, uninterrupted stretches of frustration-less sneaking around and hacking computers, exploring vents and knocking out dudes. I was so close to the "get all the XP books" achievement (I feel it in my bones) and I'm pretty sure I missed the last one(s) rushing through the final level. Summary: Playability: 9,5/10 Fun: 10/10 Graphics: 9/10 Sound: 9/10 Music: 9/10 Multiplayer: 0/10 Ventilation ducts: 10/10

Lots of shows are starting up this week, one of which is the terrible piece of shit Terra Nova. It's great that someone is willing to spend a lot of money on a science-fiction show, but when they apparently go for the most bland, family-friendly thing you can imagine, and the show looks like ass, it's like they should've spent that money on maybe ten cheaper shows. It has Steven Spielberg's name on it, but instead of the awesome Saving Private Ryan Jurassic Park Early Indiana Jones Back to the Future Schindler's List Spielberg they got the terrible Lost World Last Indiana Jones Transformers The Terminal one.

whatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatWHAT.I thought it was fantastic! How could you disagree?

Okay, so beating the second boss was the easiest thing I've ever done. Run over to her and a-rat-a-tat-tat on F2, and good old Typhoon takes care of the rest. I'm assuming the first boss would be equally trivial if I had used the same tactic? I don't know what other augmentations were critical to my success (I guess some more cells and maybe armor?) but the Typhoon is only three Praxis, and this game have long since thrown more of those at me than I know what to do with.

Haven't really noticed any repetitive barking, though it may be too early for that to kick in. In fact, I've been surprised at the amount of different conversations I end up interrupting each time I take over a car. That might, of course, end at any point.

If you can name a movie that gives you more of a Half-Life 2 feeling than this, you're from the future! Also, Children of Men is totally fucking awesome, excellent, wonderful and totally cool, neat, sweet and hip! I love it as much as I hate those who disagree with me. What's wrong with it? Nothing, that's what. The maths are simple: awesome movie plus HL2 mood or whatever equals fucking fantastic! Plus you can see a vagina!

It's really fun, especially coming from something as intense as Deus Ex. It's basically about driving like an asshole and getting all sorts of rewards for it. I've only played for about an hour, but this seems like a game that'll give me a lot of effortless fun. I especially like it when, every time I jump down into some random car, I appear in the middle of a conversation, take over the body of the driver, quickly turn the car into oncoming traffic to thwart the opposition and then float back up to find another victim.

So I got this for Xbox and god damn it.
