But you know how he gets!

God no, he's terrible at game design.

Even though Valve has always been saying Portal 2 will be a bigger game than Portal, I've always assumed Portal 2 would be a small game, similar to a HL2 episode, probably because everything Valve has released since HL2 has been smaller games or episodes. Anyone know if they've said anything about this? Do you think Portal 2 will be a "real" full-size game, closer to HL2 in size?

I would totally purchase a pre-alpha Java applet Psychonauts 2.

I think I did a thing like this for Christmas a while back, only instead of something written in beautiful handwriting, I sent shit drawings I had done. I would totally partake in this new enterprise were I allowed to keep communicating by shit drawings, since my handwriting is illegible and I have nothing to say.

My question was somewhat misleading, as I have already seen the first two seasons, plus a couple of episodes. I don't remember anyone mentioning it here, so I wanted to test the waters before wholeheartedly recommending it to everyone able to enjoy light-hearted humor. It's the sort of show I wouldn't usually consider watching – a half-hour family comedy on Fox, dealing with THESE WEIRD PEOPLE THAT HAVE THEIR PROBLEMS BUT LOVE REALLY EACH OTHER AND FAMILY IS IMPORTAND ETC. – but holy hell, it's so good! I can feel my inner cynic trying to dissuade me, and there's a couple of things I could pick at if I had to, but there's just so much to like! At its worst, it's usually pretty funny; at its best, it's a fucking riot. And best of all: no laugh track!

Has anyone here seen Modern Family? If so, what did you think? If not, I have nothing to ask you at this time.

And I'll be there, awkwardly hugging everyone with my big flake-filled beard.

I'm going to post comments so tasteless and crude you'll never work again.

The person who PMs me the worst compliment gets a free game on Steam.

A fitting description of almost every thread.

No, if you're going to play both, play Oddysee first. If you start getting frustrated at Oddysee's checkpoints, though, you might want to skip ahead to Exoddus, though know this: even I (toblix) managed to play through both Oddyseee and Exoddus just last year, and I get really frustrated really fast.

Yeah, he could totally level up my level something mage or whatever.

Oh, I haven't played WoW since 2006, a fact which should prove very useful indeed as I pondered what might have transpired.

Today my old WoW account was hacked, and I had to reset the password.

What, wasn't this just for a Honda commercial or something?

You can all of that in FB, yeah, though you don't use those exact types of objects. -

The way things are done in Flash don't make sense to me as a programmer. I guess it's more suited to the graphics designers way of thinking, though the thought frightens me a little. You have symbols, graphics, buttons and movie clips, and I'm not sure at all how they all map to AS3 code. I guess it's a mix of old terms that have changed meaning, and a pooly evolved GUI, but at least you can draw with a pencil and move shapes around. You can definitely create animations in Flash Builder, but there's no WYSIWYG; you have to program every movement by moving or tweening stuff around. This means no hand-made animation, but making stuff slide, bounce, rotate, shake or whatever is super-easy, as long as you're able to express it programatically. Let me try again: no Bugs Bunny, but sliding transitions or whatever are super easy. I AM SORRY. -

I can find my around Flash (the Adobe application), but when I create flash stuff I do it in Flash Builder, which means I very much focus on the programmatic side of things rather than the design. You write the same ActionScript in both applications; Flash Builder is just much better at it, since it's the main focus of the application, rather than shapes and layers and colors. This probably didn't help much, but feel free to ask if you have any AS3 questions. Oh, and make sure you're working in AS3, and not the terrible AS2. -
Google image searching "vochtige omarmen" was pleasantly surprising. So many different things.

He kept talking about you, Armchair. Whenever we did something, he always had to explain how you two had done it just a little bit cooler and better. You always had more ammo left, got a higher score, found more secrets. At one point someone called him. I waited while he picked up the phone and spoke with someone in Dutch. It went a little something like this: "Hallo mam? Vaarwel mijn lieve moeder. Ik mis je vochtig te omarmen! Kbedankt!"

I'm going to reply to this when I get access to a hardware keyboard. Anyway, ActionScript is fun! -
After last night, I'm all about umbrella corporations, flowering zombie mouths, powerful shotguns, visible ladybras, barrels with small golds and motorcycle-based QTEs. I haven't seen the trailer yet.
