  1. Resident Evil 5

I loved RE4 (the Wii version) for a lot of things, but ended up hating it for its difficulty and frustraticity. For some reason (probably the RE6 announcement) I just bought RE5 since I feel like playing a fun game, and I think I remember hearing it was pretty good. I have a couple of questions: Is the online co-op good? Is it the single-player campaign with two players? Do you save progress in the same way? Oh, and is the single player any good?
  2. Resident Evil 5

Yup. I'm in no hurry, though. If I'm going to play it, I want to do it with my bra Poo, and maybe some more people if that will be supported.
  3. Resident Evil 5

And when I buy RE6 for the PC I will buy it.
  4. Resident Evil 5

And also you have a PC.
  5. Resident Evil 5

After we had completed the game, we spent all our bonus points on lady costumes and figurines and looked at them together.
  6. Resident Evil 5

I didn't only have to punch it, but hook it as well.
  7. Resident Evil 5

So Poo and I finished the game last night. Great graphics! Pretty smooth and stable, and even though the interface is a bit weird, getting the co-op up and running was easy. Satisfying combat. A lot of cheesy cut-scenes and hammy acting to ridicule and laugh at. The controls? Not so great. Even accepting that not being able to move and fire is some kind of great game design, the camera and movement controls were weird and cumbersome right until the end. I played with a mouse and keyboard, which I think came as a surprise to the game designers. Some terrible boss fights where the "solution" wasn't made clear and progress wasn't being communicated, leading to us spending a lot of time repeating sequences, not knowing if we were on the right track. I still don't know how we defeated the flamethrower monster thing. :tdown:Terrible, unforgiving QTEs. :tdown:A laser satellite.
  8. The City on RPS

Yeah, that was great. I've found myself reading a lot more RPS lately.
  9. Achievement-ocalypse

I will probably be devastated if I lose all my achievements, which is sad. It's weird – if someone took away my PS3 trophies, Steam achievements, Battle.net achievements, Giant Bomb quest things or whatever, I wouldn't mind. The Xbox ones though... it has a hold of me.
  10. Wasteland 2

Yeah, I haven't played Wasteland or Bard's Tale, but I loved the original Fallout games, and I'd very much like another post-apocalyptic RPG with proper turn-based combat.
  11. Recently completed video games

Yeah, you can't own opinions, man!
  12. Recently completed video games

It's that time again when I complain about this thread and suggest that topics get their own threads instead of this desolate opinion graveyard.
  13. I Am Alive

Okay, so it's out. Anyone play it? Is it any good? The Giant Bomb quick look made it seem a little boring... the environments seemed uninteresting, and the confrontations too frequent and hard to figure out. I like that there appeared to be a puzzle element to them, figuring out the situation and the right move whilst under pressure, but in the quick look, at least, it also looked like they were all based on just killing the first dude that approaches you and scrambling for a gun.
  14. Fund Tim Schafer's next game YOURSELF!

They are going to pass three million dollars easily!
  15. EDF: Insect Armageddon

    Oh, very.
  16. Life

I think there's co-op (with I'm guessing two players) and something else called multiplayer that supports 8 players...
  17. Life

omg u know what this means bra
  18. GDC 2012

So GDC is starting in about five hours. Looking forward to: Sim City 5 announcement Hearing what the deal is with the Steam console rumors. Do any of you industry types know if stuff will start appearing on the GDC Vault during the convention, or if it's all published after?
  19. GDC 2012

    slop
  20. EDF: Insect Armageddon

Quick, explain the ending stuff to me!
  21. Mass Effect 3

Starting up ME3, I realised I couldn't even remember who lived and died. I think I may be ruining things for myself by always creating a dumb-looking guy so I can tell myself I'm playing the game ironically.
  22. Movie/TV recommendations

I saw The Room today, and it made me want to write a script.
  23. Fund Tim Schafer's next game YOURSELF!

I'm pretty pissed off, and withdrew my pledge after seeing those pictures. Even though he didn't say he'd use the extra money for the game, I think most people expected him to. What a swindle!

  25. Sim City V

I never liked adding real-world stuff to my cities anyway (just like in Civilization, building the Eiffel Tower or Stonehenge like they were kinds of monument just feels dumb), so I guess I'm better off getting the cheapskate version. I prefer generic or fictional buildings and monuments.
