That achievement bug sounds weird, if I understand you correctly. It's not up to the game to calculate your gam0rz score, so either something's wrong with the achievements API or something's wrong with the achievements system.

If I lived in San Francisco, I'd probably be dead. Sounds like Jurassic Park over there.

HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT WHAT AN ENORMOUS HOUSE

What the fuck are you people talking about?

I'm not a marketing guy, but hasn't the marketing of this game been really weird? They did the big announcement thing way back with the video and everything, and lots of interviews and stuff. Then nothing for a while, and then about half a year ago they did a bunch of videos with the enemies, and then nothing. And now there's a new trailer? Is everything going okay with this project? Also, this thread should've been renamed.

I played it on Steam. Also, I just remembered Steam did some new, magic thing to the game data when I started it. It converted it to a more «efficient» format or something. That probably isn't what caused the bug, but it was still interesting. Anyone else see that? Know what it's about?

Nice episode page link, Sherlock.

So, episode 4. Most intense episode yet; especially the last half goes by like this: woosh! I had this weird thing at the end on the screen that shows you all the decisions with percentages for each one, I just got placeholder labels like Decision 2:3, so I don't even know what the major decisions were (though I can probably guess at most of them.) Any way to go back and see those stats after completing the episode?

It's so damn slow. Whenever they do the scripted stuff, like in the first campaign levels, there's so. much. waiting.

Yeah, I got this, and it feels a bit rubbish. Feels like Team17 never really got comfortable with 3D.

A few hours I could live with. Three days is not a few hours. The delay might not be critical, and nobody will die, but comparing complaints about it to impatient childish tantrums is unfair.

So everyone knew this already, but I just discovered I get three days of everyone raving and tweeting about both Dishonored and XOM before it's unlocked here (meanwhile it's of couse already available for free and easy torrenting ...) I don't have anything new or interesting to say about this, and just want to rant and complain, and also to ask the question on the mind of everyone who's not playing XCOM and Dishonored: why are they doing this again?

Jesus, I searched for a thread but didn't see it. CLOSE THIS THREAD PLZ

Weirly, I was able to complete Silent Hill 2.

Actually I just noticed it's still in my Steam library, so either I never actually uninstalled it (though I remember doing so,) or I did, but it's not done with me. The last, brief image I have of that game is this terrible creature just standing there, and now that image will in my mind forever transform into something so twisted and horrible I will never be able to return to it, just like my memory of the lady that was turned into a robot in one of the Superman films.

HAHAH FUCK THIS GAME or actually fuck me because I cannot play it. I went into the wine cellar and after doing some stuff I got the tutorial message telling me that the only way to avoid enemies is to hide, which told me that I was about to meet an enemy. I went over to some shelves, picked up a thing, turned around, saw the silhouette of a man, smacked shut my laptop, tore off my headset, opened my laptop, opened task manager, killed the process and uninstalled it in Steam. I've always have great sympathy for people who are unable to play some games due to motion sickness. I now realised fear is my motion sickness. Some day a game will come out and everyone will be raving about how amazing it is and you have to play it, and I just won't be able to. Sucks. ANYWAY, it was fun for as long as I lasted. I can't remember how the physics stuff was in Penumbra, so I don't know if they changed anything, but if felt pretty natural, and made rummaging through stuff more fun than it usually is. The thing where you pull out of a drawer and the tinderbox comes rolling out all physicsy is cool.

I'm at a LAN party, so I thought I'd give this a shot and be able to play as long as there were shouting people and bright screens everywhere around me. I got to the library and found the wine cellar key, and when I stepped out of the room I heard this groaning sound and knew (or thought, rather) that something was out to get me and I quit.

Just remember to get the motherboard with most shiny feature badges on it. In particular, look for «HypRklok 4.0» and «EZconn3ct+ Pro» and «GAMER SilentConnect MAX v5.5» and «NetPower BIOS FLASH GPU++» and «SLI ProGamer Flexible TurboMode II» and «GreenMax Sylent WiFi QBoost PlusGamerPro»

Tom Hall and Brenda Brathwaite kicking old school rpg

I actually used the watch feature to make sure I backed a marshmallow project, so I can attest to its effectiveness/efficiency/efficacy/effectivicity. -

I jumped on this like a nine-cent revolver in a Mississippi Saloon, but now I feel bad because I realise I probably shouldn't have. The only reason I did was that it said Tom Hall was behind it, and I really remember loving Anachronox, and I never finished it and feel bad about that, so it's like a form of redemption almost. -
On those rare occasions I actually manage to complete a difficult game, or section of a game, that I've struggled with, it's super-satisfying. However, over the years I've turned into this weak jelly of cowardice and lack of zest, and I quickly become angry and frustrated whenever I encounter so much as a bump in the difficulty curve. I think I've become accustomed to always getting very explicit, tangible rewards for every fucking little thing, and it has ruined me. If I spend twenty minutes fighting nazis or whatever, and suddenly a giant nazi jumps over the wall and kills me, I don't consider those twenty minutes worth anything. Even if I did become better at the game, and even if I would now be able to redo that last part with much greater ease – if I lost all the nazi points I acquired during those twenty minutes, I'll be all «fuck you, game!» and turn it off.

I hope this doesn't turn into one of those deals where children think they are playing video games whilst in reality controlling actual military drones.

Idle Thumbs 76: The Three Antidotes
toblix replied to Sean's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I'm a Giant Bomb subscriber and am saddened to hear about this genuine feud. -
I'm really interested in seeing this thing, and predict someone is going to hack or crack or break or somehow fuck it up.
