Have you played Chivalry? It's a cheap, intense knight-em-up with swords, shields, lances, axes and dismemberment. I'm pretty sure you won't get any closer to how actual medieval battle felt. I played for a good hour with Poo and Armchair, and the time we had was good.

THREAD RESURRECT This game is awesome. Show me a game you think has better character animations and I'll show you a PAIR OF FUCKING GLASSES because this game has some sweet sweet sweet animations of people moving around, climbing and descending stairs, spinning on chairs and much much more. The dialogue is in that classic weird Japanese style I can't quite describe – people pay attention to and focus on weird things, I think the conversation itself is referenced more than in Western games maybe? Anyway, you can't be told what Ghost Trick is, but you can certainly get the first episode for free and then buy the rest if you love it, which – and I guarantee this – you probably will.

What, we're talking on the phone now?

I also just backed this too, as well.

Yeah, I've had tons of cool stuff happening. All my plans turn to shit because of tigers, usually.

I did something I should've done earlier, which is checking if getting all the treasure chests gives you an achievement. Turns out it doesn't, which means I'll be able to make some progress.
-
Okay, I have this question. I've been doing this thing where I go after every treasure chest on the map. Should I keep doing this? Does something happen when I've opened them all?

So... BioShock Infinite ending will be "like nothing you've experienced in a video game before" Anyone up for some speculation? I bet the game will use a webcam or some web service to get a picture of you, and in then ending you have a child with Elizabeth and the baby has your face.

Idle Forums Game Club 2 - Shadow of the Colossus edition

Should we reconsider the one-a-month plan? Maybe it'll let more of us partake? -
I was about to confess. Also, yes, it's very expensive.

My problem wasn't with the subtitles, but that they seem to have machine translated all the text, even the legalese, resulting in an awkward, insulting copy all over the site. That, combined with the terrible terms and low technical quality of the contents makes it too obvious that HBO is just out to make a quick buck by slapping together something barely functional that they can charge for, rather than doing what they should: provide a superior alternative to piracy that people will be willing to pay for every month. They may have high quality shows, but when it comes to the business side, they're no different from the rest.

I wanted to see what happened when I entered a ridiculous value into their pizza system. Nothing more, nothing less. I consider it a success. Think about it – if I wanted to, I could submit an order with a million extra garlics. What would happen?

Can I buy the HD edition digitally? -
She had already printed the receipt out when she delivered the pizza, so there was no awkward pause. However, she did comment on the amount of garlic, and I confessed it was more of an experiment than such a strong craving for garlic. The «Med» is Norwegian healthcare. Norwegian laws demand that all receipts include this item for some reason.

Wasn't «Shadow of the Colossus» originally called «Fuckman»?

I just developer tooled the «extra garlic» input field of a pizza form to add 20x garlic to a pizza I'm having delivered. Based on the automatic email receipt, it passed validation on the back-end. The point, which is based on my observation that everything gets a separate line on the physical receipt, is to create an extra-long, extra-awkward pause as me and the pizza delivery person wait out in the freezing cold for the little printer to print all those lines of extra garlic. I'm pretty excited.

I thought they sent in 1080p to everyone, but only Samsung TVs got 5.1 sound? Anyway, it'll be interesting to see where this goes.

Miasmata - Ye Olde Cartography, Falling Down Hills, Drowning, Getting Eaten by a Grue Simulator

This seems like an awesome game, but the element of being chased by a horrible creature makes it a non-starter for me, which sucks. -
The racism thing sounds fantastic. If they manage to do something interesting with it, it'll be awesome to see that theme be tackled head-on in a video game, rather than through the more common alien/robot devices. Also, if the game will let me explore Columbia at least for a bit without having to fight, that'll be swell. I really hated the combat in the Bioshock games – both how it felt, and that there was so much of it – and I don't have any illusions about this being anything other than a first person shooter, but I'm hoping that they've made it at least feel better this time, and that it'll be paced more interestingly. The fact that they have GUI margins, FOV and framerate settings in already makes me think this will be a pretty good PC game right out of the gate.
