The name "Cinemaware" has such a classy, 40s Hollywood star ring to it. Nowadays the names all have to sound so strange and surreal, like some kind of inside joke.

This is like racism, in a way!

I played it, but got stuck on some lame winter level where giant rocks fell on me all the time.

"Oblivion features a groundbreaking new AI system, called Radiant AI, which gives non-player characters (NPCs) the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them. They'll decide where to eat or who to talk to and what they'll say. They'll sleep, go to church, and even steal items, all based on their individual characteristics. Full facial animations and lip-synching, combined with full speech for all dialog, allows NPCs to come to life like never before." This is written about all games that feature even a smidgeon of randomness to NPCs. There's nothing revolutionary about "the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them." This is descriptive of even the simplest pathfinding algorithms. "They'll decide where to eat or who to talk to and what they'll say. They'll sleep, go to church, and even steal items, all based on their individual characteristics"... This sort of thing is said about lots of games, but they all turn out either with completely unbelievable behaviour, or they don't use the "incredible AI" at all. And "Full facial animations and lip-synching, combined with full speech for all dialog, allows NPCs to come to life like never before." is bullshit. This technology is many years old, but still every shitty little 3d game PR team talk about it like it's futuristic laser plasma technology or something. The mouths just flap open and shut according to the amplitude of the sound file anyway. It will look stupid.

Outcast was great! It had everything (that I remember now): Great graphics (although a lot of people hated the voxel engine -- I hearted it), great voice-acting (I think), a female character with slightly big boobs (I'm sorry, but most games need that), great music (really impressive orchestral score), vast, interesting environments (it had worlds with people and trained animals everywhere, working and walking around, and worlds empty of people, but with lots of wildlife and stuff. Really great.), a not-lame story (can't remember exactly how it went, though), and more!

I like how in every single preview of an CRPG I read it says that unlike all other CRPGS, in this one dialogue choices will have an actual effect on the game world.

Just the download. But you get the box, at least, so the only thing missing from the Gold edition is the physical game media, which you can just burn yourself anyways. Also, supporting Valve is the better than supporting the Vivendi.

The "Keyboard failure, press F1 to continue" isn't really that funny, because it's obvious you are to connect the keyboard properly and then press F1.

I have a screenshot somewhere of an error message saying "Catastrophic error! Operation complete."

I like Babylon Pro. It's not a site, though.

Can I call this site "The T" when mentioning it in day-to-day conversations?

You really should start marketing a one-letter version of your site. There aren't that many to choose from, and some are already taken, like the McDonald's's M, and the, uh, I'm sure there're more. -

Apparently he visits as much as two forums! -
It's Alyx. And she's probably the hottest woman ever in a computer game. Hmm, maybe that's a discussion worthy of its own thread!

Because books make you smart, stupid. Plus, they make you look smart if other people look in your bookshelf, and if you keep the book in the bookshelf they're looking in and when they ask you can be all casual like it's a piece of cake to you and so you get sex but only if you want and if it's a girl. And you're a boy. And straight.

Could the title very well be "Star Star"?

Okay. By the way, that thing in the backgroun in the second picture is clearly phallic. -

About PHP. This link is about a book that's apparently good for learning PHP. I'd buy it myself if I didn't have tons of other technical books lying around that I haven't gotten around to reading.

Okay, but can it cause masturbation? -
I've seen some ads for this game, or something, but I just figured it was one last expansion pack for The Sims or something. I didn't know it was a completely separate game, one with actual goals. Maybe I'll explore further. Or even better yet, how about you write more and show pictures.
