but it's still fun! Today I picked up a Studiologic VMK-188 Plus MIDI controller, a copy of Kontakt 3 and Ivory. I haven't tried it out yet, but it's going to be awesome. Maybe one day someone'll make a Keyboard Hero or something.

I've talked earlier about how fantastic this game is, but it's like I'm alone in believing this is one of the greatest looking, best-playing, funn(i)est games ever. I can't any info about a third M&L game... what in the fuck is going on here? Why haven't Nintendo or Alphadream announced this? All you game people, have you heard any of your Japanese colleagues speaking secretly about recruiting for M&L3?

Hint time! I've done a couple of things to in front of his and I guess the is the final one I have to do. I don't know what exactly I'm looking for though. I assume it has something to do with him I have the hints frequency turned way up, but currently Max wants to and when we're he says something about needing to WTF?

Who doesn't these days?

Only game nerds, obsessed with the shapes of each and every game would notice.

What if they weren't the movie equivalent of gamers?
-
Is it really? Isn't it more important to have savvy business people making the business decisions than smelly gamers?

Okay, so I need a hint: I guess I'm supposed to get the to blow the over the right? What's the secret to getting anything at all done before the guy stops I don't even have the time to change let alone two, because of the slow So I figure it's not a timing puzzle at all. What am I missing?

God, that puzzle felt broken. It was totally obvious to me I was on the right track, so just presenting it directly didn't even cross my mind.

The latest one for the DS, anyway, with the meteor-struck earth and unfunny doctors. I'm liking this. It's turn based, which I love, and the maps are small enough that battles are over fairly quickly. The mechanics are pretty simple and work well, although I haven't really delved into the finer points yet. As always, I expect the game to suddenly become frustratingly hard and suck, in that special Japanese way, but for now it's really fun. Secret wish: A new Phoenix Wright game is suprise-released tomorrow.

Yeah, it was really intent on demonstrating every little fucking thing. I don't know if I prefer rough undocumentedness over that, though. That's the kind of stuff I associate with half-assed game mechanics, and I seldom appreciate playing the unintentional "game" of trying to figure out stuff like that. I'm sure PiT could benefit from letting some of the mechanics be discoverable by the player, though. The linearity would mean most of them would be obvious anyway. I think it's worth mentioning, though, that one of the things I found the most interesting and rewarding with the game was figuring out the enemies' attack patterns. These were not documented or explained at all, and you had to figure out what to look for for each type of enemy. I found this to be executed perfectly. Finding the "sign" was always possible, but there were variations and gotchas to be figured out, and it was always fresh. This has to be the perfect example of the type of gameplay you're describing. Never explicitly documented, but crucial to the gameplay.

Okay, and introducing some random offset or direction would take away from the skill factor, right? How about a golf-esque bar going left and right, determining the direction of the drop, so you'd never hit the same spot twice? I'm the next Warren fucking Spector, I tell you.
-
Holy shit, that sounded interesting. I'm not quite sure I get what you're getting at, though. Could you explain some more (or point to some posts or whatever)?
-
I tell ya, if you changed it so that you dropped a ball with each click of the mouse instead of "dragging" them it would get a 10x excellent multiplier.
-
Finished it today. It was awesome. Hopefully they have a million Japanese working their asses of making new PW and AJ games.

I don't even know anymore. But can you at least see it now that I've said what it is?

In hindsight, I should probably have made my animated black stand up comedian smiley a tad larger.

I'm just messing with you, kid. I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about. I mean, a charmander? More like charm-anus, amirite?
