Yeah, the long posts about how you're playing through the games are a bit much. Maybe you should put them in a separate thread dedicated to playing through adventure games?
-
Well, I got some "sweet" recordings, so you can watch them and pretend you were me, if only for a brief moment.
-
TEN MINUTES YOU GUYS (hope you figure out the password!)
-
Probably will.
-
I've been planning to play Guacameele! but I've heard talk of a PC version, so I thought I'd wait it out. Maybe I'll just get it on the PS3.
-
If you have a few hours and don't live in German or Japan, this is a thing: Next time I'll turn off the radio, so EMI doesn't freak the fuck out and have Youtube mute my video.
-
Me? I love adventure games, especially the LucasArts ones. I was looking for a new one to play, and I found out it had been way too long since I had played Sam & Max, so I thought I'd do a quick refresher.
-
Ah, time to walk around in old locations and click on things. My favorite genre!
-
So things in the binoculars are too tiny. Do I need to mount a lens on it, like in an adventure game?
-
I had this whole dumb story written up, but I guess it can be summarized as "playing a lot of adventure games makes you reason in dumb ways and you get stuck trying to rasp a bucket of golf balls to get through a door instead of just trying to open it like a normal person."
-
Yeah my current goal is that ball. Unfortunately something's fastened a bit too well, and I'll need a wrench or something to get it loose.
-
Yeah, I made a little burst of progress. Now I've been referred to Frog Rock, which is between two locations I've never heard of. I guess I'll have to find those locations somehow.
-
Yeah, I'm on ScummVM. When using the eye icon on the door, there's no hover effect, and clicking does nothing. The walk, pick up and use pointers both hover and click as intended, though. Could be a ScummVM bug, a game bug, or just a missing hilarious description for the door.
-
Ooooooooh. So in Sam & Max, apparently a thing can exist in the game that you can't look at. For some reason I thought all hotspots would trigger a cursor change, and have been using the eye for pixel hunting. The glass cage door, though, can be clicked with the PICK UP or USE cursors, but not with the EYE. So, weird.

Though I'm probably not going to play Killzone: Shadow Fall, I would maybe consider Killzone: Shadow Hands.
-
If people want it to be regular, it'll be regular. Now that we're all old men, once a week is maybe a bit heavy, but I'm up for anything.
-
Mumble has mic boost, though. Also, what audio driver doesn't have mic boost? It's like Windows audio driving 101.
-
Thanks, thorn. I looked at the first hint, but didn't really get any further...
-
The text-to-speecj works, but it gets drowned out by all the inane human chatter, so it's not a great substitute for having a microphone. It's great for when Lu pastes porn urls, though, and Mumble reads it one character at a time.
-
Okay, guess I might as well ask for Sam & Max hints, since the UHS thing isn't available on the web, and I hate walkthroughs... Wait, what.
-
Shame about the people getting disconnected and having to wait for the next round to get another invite. I guess if you're not on voice chat it's hard to let us know you dropped out.
