Shitcock, I just found out I can't play tonight after all. Fucking poop.
-
Okay, this reminds me of something I've been wondering about. There are tons of shit lying around everywhere, and I can't really tell if a given piece is going to be useful at some point or not. Is there some sort of crafting thing going on in this game, where you can scavenge weird shit and build rockets?

Just got out of bed, and it was awesome. Guest-having cool people was a great move. Your discussion of these PC game platform giants emerging was very interesting.

It almost seems like... he's playing the bad guy. This would be a perfect twist ending or something, I dunno. Anyway, my main gripe with the ending was that the and felt sort of... flimsy, like the game struggled to detect what you were doing or something. I didn't feel like I was getting the type of feedback I'd become accustomed to during the game, so even though I was doing the right thing I felt like I wasn't. This, in turn, made me frustrated that there weren't a checkpoint after all the initial stuff you'd have to repeat while iteratively trying to figure out what the game wanted you to do.

Oh no, I just hooked up the Wii, and was about to resume my RE4 game, but I was scared shitless by the guy who says "Resident Evil FOOOOURRRRRRRRR" in the Wii menu. I wussed out and played some GTA multiplayer instead.
-
So, is it just the font size that's taken into account when scaling, or does the covered area of the word matter?
-
Jeeeeeeeeesus, I want to play this game so much, but every time I'm about to double click on the icon I play GTA multiplayer instead.
-
No no, I work too. Nine is an awesome time to play. I've really developed a taste for GTA Race, by the way. I seldom leave the car, and play it as a normal race. I just enjoy the added challenge of guys standing by the road trying to blow me up with grenades as I drive by. Also, cops & robbers seemed awesome if you're not playing with idiots.
-
But that's like nine o'clock in the evening.

I was expecting a day that my principles would get in the way of my playing an awesome game -- I just didn't expect it so soon.

But, say we agree to play GTA IV at 8pm GMT, which is really 20 GMT, and I'm at GMT + 1, does that make it 19 or 21 GMT?
-
Oh no, I'm getting flashbacks from the last time I tried synchronising across time zones. It's like magic -- I know it's possible, but I just can't do it.
-
Well, it certainly seems that way.

Man, Xbox Live is a treasure trove of fascinating characters. I'm listening to a southern guy, about 20 years I'd say, from Carolina bickering with a black kid from the Bronx, probably about 13. They acted horribly stupid, and to me it was like watching a movie or something, the racial slurs and death threats -- one of them even carefully taking note of the other guy's address, promising to make the trip to kill him, or as he put it, blow his nigger head off. It's like a portal into another world, this headset!

Yeah, it would be awesome to have a version without both Steam and Securom.

WHIRRRR-- oh sorry, just had to turn off my Xbox 360 playing Fable 2. Yeah, I'm also game for hot and sweaty GTA IV multiplayer action. I'm not a big fan of the "on foot only" modes, though. I like having the option of driving around on a Faggio, or whatever.
-
Okay, so I played this for about an hour and I decided I want to buy it. Then I read about "all the problems" people have been experiencing with Securom. I have stuff like Daemon Tools and various cd burning applications installed, and naturally I'm not buying it if I have to start uninstalling stuff. Is there a list somewhere with software that will prevent a legal version of the game from installing

WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Holy shit does the DVD drive go fucking nuts when I load up this game. I think I'll have to wait for the ability to rip it to the hard drive before I can get started on this... I keep moving my attention between the TV and the Xbox, looking for smoke or sparks or pieces of Fable 2 shooting out of there.

I played some multiplayer races today on Live, and I actually experienced the Xbox Live stereotype -- the guy who talks all the time, complaining about how the settings are gay, and how the other players are totally stupid and fucking gay, etc. I've heard a lot about this kind of person, but I've never heard a live one before. It was exhilerating, listening to him.

The Fall is the most beautiful film I've ever seen, and reason alone to purchase a HD display to watch it on. Every single fucking frame is like the world's most awesome photograph. And the little girl is awesome.

I remember getting Klik & Play (the floppy disk version), and being totally disappointed when I discovered there was no scrolling, only separate screens, and you could maintain little or no state across these screens. Too bad, because the concept was awesome. Especially the "learning" mode, when you made a breakout style game essentially by answering questions whenever something happened: What happens when you move the mouse to the left -> The paddle moves with it What happens when the ball hits the left side of the screen -> It bounces ... and so on. I think they made a sequel called The Game Factory or something, but by then I'd lost interest.
