WTF Did I just buy a busted version of LOOM?

There's no way of getting stuck.

So, when game people are taking questions, the one the came today always comes up sooner or later. The "how do I get to work in games" question. The answer is also always the same: "I got into it by sheer coincidence. Just do whatever you like and be good at it," often with the additional advice of making mods or little private projects. I've been hearing these Q&A combinations for so long now, I'm starting to wonder if any of the people who have made it their goal to end in games actually have? Or do they, too, end up doing something completely different from their original goal, and have to answer the same question about their eventual work?

Also, question for those of you who've played LOOM. How does it compare to all the other LucasArts adventure games? I've never played it, and I've always had the impression it was very different.

Yes, but: The voltage can be so high it just arcs right over. A lot of modern electronics don't actually break the power circuit, but just enters a power-consuming standby mode. I think I might be misunderstanding you.

Are you talking about an AFCI or fuses or what?

Really? Does that even make sense? Unless we're talking about physical relays being open (which wouldn't be the case in an (I assume) standby-only box like that) all the paths and components are just as much there for the frying.

Well, I thought it was pretty rad. I was trying to figure out something awesome to say, like "you're FIRED" or "you left an electric cooking plate on IN YOUR BOAT", but things happened too fast. Also, I was a bit sad that I had just killed Wrestlevania, and that was sad, even though -- and I am quite sure he would agree -- it was totally worth it.
