  1. Left 4 Thumbs

Also, another reason I never invite is because it might end up being just two people, which is awkward, because one would expect me to speak.

Since I don't really play any other Xbox 360 games at the moment, I won't be on Live just waiting to be invited to an ad hoc game. I'm on MSN Microsoft Live Messenger or whatever the fuck it's called, and I'm on Steam. If someone is up for L4D or GTA or LBP or WTF, send me a message. I don't get annoyed by people inviting me, although for some reason I imagine everyone else are.
  3. Dammit, I think my 360 is near death?

They used DHL here. The deal ended up being that they sent me a box. I put the Xbox in the box (HILARIOUS PUN INTENDED) and called DHL. They came and picked it up (although they couldn't give me a receipt even though the Microsoft lady said I should BE SURE TO get one). A couple of weeks later they said to me "we'll deliver it on so and so date between 8 and 16. And they did (at around 12).
  4. Dammit, I think my 360 is near death?

Yes, and the process sucked. I got some conflicting emails and had to stay at home for a whole day to receive the package when it came back (it would've been cheaper to just buy a new console). At least I got a box in the mail, though.

Try a box shop. It really annoys me that companies that produce various shit expect people to keep around their specific boxes and packaging just in case. Either make a packaging standard or send me a fucking box when your shit breaks.
  6. Mata Hari

Well, I've played it for a bit, and so far it's typical late nineties/early 00s adventure game with blurry prerendered backgrounds and mechanical characters spouting boring lines. Ah, the accents! Interaction consist of the character doing some indeterminate waving of a hand or something, and then the background switches to the other state, for example when closing a window. There's nothing more than the bare minimum required for the game to be playable. If they took away any more of the presentation, you'd see scrolling lines of code. Well, I'm exaggerating... it runs in 1920x1200, which means the characters (real time 3d) are nice and smooth while the background is scaled up from some lower resolution art. And there's a reflection setting. The interface is weird. To talk about a subject or item, you have to click on it and then on the guy. And sometimes you miss, so you have to try again. I just copied a ring by imprinting it on a bar of soap. Kill me, please. I'll play it some more just to check if this means something at all:
  7. Awesome MI2 2D/3D Projection thingie

I promise that, if they make this happen, I will pay one thousand US dollars.
  8. Left 4 Thumbs

Sorry for being completely shit tonight. It was awesome, and we won and all, and it was fun, but I really sucked. I had just come home from being away for the weekend, dropped my bags and started playing. So that's why I never healed and always missed.
  9. Best game credit roll/sequence

I guess that's the DS only added-on chapter.
  10. You wouldn't want to look for something posted in the DLC thread if there was no DLC thread!
  11. Mata Hari

I bought it, so we'll see. Or I'll see.
  12. That sucks, and I just bought an iPhone.
  13. Forza Motorsport 3

That's from the backseat driver mode. "Go left! Le-- no , right, RIGHT!"
  14. Warren Spector's Disney project concept art

Very awesome. Also, Disney has just released a scheduled time of release for this product with these graphics.
  15. Tales of Monkey Island

Is it worse than the PC version? I haven't played the PC version, but I got the impression that TellTale's still using their Soviet technology device for compressing voice recordings.
  16. Forza Motorsport 3

You know me too well. I'm after something that's immediately fun, but not too arcadey, I think. I don't finger myself to power curve charts, but I don't want a jump button either. Also, I love games that look totally fucking sweet, which it seems Forza will also be doing. edit: Also, did I mention I will be playing using this?
  17. Awesome MI2 2D/3D Projection thingie

You're right, you're right. At first I thought he meant they had finished the 2D graphics already, and only wanted to "enhance" them this way.
  18. Forza Motorsport 3

No, but this is: It's not photorealistic, but it's close.
  19. http://steamcommunity.com/id/toblix Oh, wait. http://steamcommunity.com/id/toeblix
  20. Forza Motorsport 3

    Yeah.
  21. Movie/TV recommendations

    It's . I can't
  22. Awesome MI2 2D/3D Projection thingie

But... flexibility compared to what? If you already have 2D art it gives you more flexibility, since you'll be able to move the camera at all. Compared to full 3D, sure it's limiting, but then you already have full 3D, so why consider it? As a replacement for actual 3D it's very limited, but when operating within those limits it looks damn nice, much better than any parallax scrolling I've seen. It also allows better looking visual effects than any 2D solution, since you're actually operating inside a 3D space.
  23. Thumb Fortress 2: The Sessioning

Reviving concept... Reviving... Reviving... Reviving... Reviving... Reviving... Revived.
  24. Awesome MI2 2D/3D Projection thingie

This conversation reminds me of reading about Cyan's awesome offices, with all sorts of hidden shit and amazing elevators. I guess bums and dope fiends live there now.
  25. Strike 2...

Don't you see it? It's right there:
