Aw man! There's a sale on Play and I can't choose what to get!

What? But it was a major turning point of the story! -

No, I'm talking about -- and this is sort of a spoiler -- where you have to snipe the guy in the car or something. As far as I know that wasn't possible to avoid. -

I'd get Mirror's Edge if only for the awesome parts. I still remember how great it was to run through the crisp, bright rooftop environments, and I can easily forgive the crap parts (including the ending) because I never had much of a problem with them, and I completed the game without ever firing a gun (except that one time where you have to (you just read a spoiler)). -
I downloaded the demo, which was pretty and had a cool Braid do-over mechanic. As for the handling, I don't know how you guys can detect all these subtle nuances. I just press the right trigger and let go if it seems I'm going too fast to make the curve. Anyway, if there's going to be regular/semi-regular multiplayer sessions of this, I'm getting it.

So I'm not going to be around for a while...

Jesus, that's not good. Although it's a close call, I think you probably made the right choice. I'll be speaking your name as I back my truck into JamesM. -
Yeah, my biggest gripe with this game is that it gently makes you run around with the mode on, because otherwise you'll miss a bunch of hidden nooks, so you get used to the inferior visuals it gives. I often force myself to not use the mode all the time, which lets me enjoy the awesome graphics more, but then I have to stop and scan around me for breakable walls every ten units of length.

Yeah, but with all settings on max (regardless of the graphics settings used in the actual game), and possibly other graphical effects and post-processing.

I've noticed a bunch of games using cut-scenes that are pre-recorded but rendered in-game. I guess it's because they can turn up the quality and still maintain the frame rate.

That sounds awesome, but not familiar. Could it be on another forum?

Yes, this and Minish Cap. I do so love awesome pixel art.

Is this an awesome Photoshop creation or just moving some letters about? -
- Another puzzle solved! - You shut your mouth before I put a knife through your hand, a bullet in your back and a pistol grip through your teeth.

Holy fucking shit. What is this, Manhunt: Conviction?
-
What? I would totally wear a shoe polish shoe as I went about town.
-
If Batman: Arkham Asylum was a shoe, it'd be made entirely out of shoe polish.

Yes, and thanks to a miracle, when I laughed, the others could hear it. -
I think that, maybe, in the process of trying to find out what we like and don't like about Partners in Time, we end up finding out what we like and don't like about ourselves.

I've heard so many people commenting on the linearity of the game, which is puzzling. I never found the linearity of PiT to be a problem. Are you saying that the game suffered from being more linear than SS, or do you just not like linear games in general (which would be totally weird)?

Yeah, great idea posting this in a thread here, in this forum!

Uh, I don't think I ever won something. You must have me confused with someone else, though I can't be bothered to find out who.
