  1. My partakement is also up in the air. Especially if the time zone shittery has moved it ahead one our. We just adjusted our frozen ice clocks one hour back, which means... ah, forget it. JAMES WHERE IS YOUR PHP NOW?!
  2. Left 4 Thumbs

I think I'll be abstaining from further L4D sessions for the time being, on account of the fact that: I suck at L4D My computer tends to crash about three fourths into the game on account of the fact that it gets to hot.
  3. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

No, lieutenant. Your level is already loaded.
  4. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

I know, but at this point I don't know what to do about it. Are you completely sure? If you're right, that's very impressive.I've noticed that a lot of newer games, like Batman: AAA, have prerendered sequences but with such a high compression quality that the transition is hard to notice. In earlier games the difference was obvious, but now you really have to look. Of course, if I'm also wrong about Batman having prerendered sequences, it's just a matter of me seeing compression artifacts where there are none. I guess that's both awesome (since it means my brain is attuned to the nuances of modern moving picture compression algorithms) and sad (since it means my brain is attuned to the nuances of modern moving picture compression algorithms).
  5. Have people seen Machinarium?

I would totally have a sliding puzzle instead of buttons in my elevator. When I become filthy rich, I'll build myself a house worthy of Dr. Brain.
  6. Although the idea of actually forcing them to continue the weekly podcast sounds interesting, and would surely prove for lots of hilarious sounds bites as they would, in the middle of the recording and without warning, jump up and try to escape the room, evading the armed guards we would have to employ to keep them there, I think the appeal of these coercioncasts would quickly fade, and we would all be back at square one, the starting square.
  7. I was assuming he was moving.
  8. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

Well, I can tell you I'm not kidding about being extremely disappointed with Rockstar for their fucking up multiplayer three times now. Unfortunately it looks like we'll have to wait four more years of whatever how long it takes for them to whip up another sequel. It seems they're really certain that the fucking ridiculous mobile phone game restarting system is what's right for GTA IV. The Episodes from Liberty City DVD had me grabbing on to a glimmer of hope that they'd make a unified multiplayer extragavanza mode, but it turns out I was only clutching a turd of shit. Anyway, the single player is bound to be amazing and worth the money by itself. It's just so sad the multiplayer is getting the short end.
  9. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

I finished the fountain room really easily last night. I was going to brag about it here, but then I remembered that I was playing it on easy... Also, about the cut-scene dissolving, it seemed to me they were just cutting from real-time snowy train scene to pre-rendered stuff. I think saw some hints of compression artefacts in those parts.
  10. Forza Motorsport 3

Quick question: would one be expected to not suck at these? Would one reduce the other participants' enjoyment by partaking while sucking or even not being very good?
  11. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

Oh, I love games, but it seems to me this will be just like TLAD -- good for a night or two dicking around with the APC and new cars, and then... who's up for fire trucks or Mr. Tasty?
  12. Left 4 Thumbs

    GTA? More like GAY.
  13. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

Now I'm starting to hope they have some nefarious plan to release another DLC that's just all the GTA IV multiplayer stuff from all episodes merged with the vanilla stuff in an easy-to-access oh foreget it it's never going to happen.
  14. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

    OH NEVER MIND.
  15. Idle thumbs London meet!

Awesome sentence. Starts as human readable text and ends up as robot code. 10/10
  16. Life

    Happy birthday!
  17. Just to make sure, you're not taking down the forums, are you?
  18. Grand Thumb Auto 30 +5: You'll never take me alive!

I seem to remember things going well the times I have hosted in the past. I can try next time.
  19. Grand Thumb Auto 30 +5: You'll never take me alive!

Yeah, you need to sort out your connection, Peels.
  20. Grand Thumb Auto 30 +5: You'll never take me alive!

No, I totally felt it too. Oh shit! Is Shenmue the one with the huge robots?
  21. Grand Thumb Auto 30 +5: You'll never take me alive!

Well, that was awesome. Lots of great moments tonight, like my intense carro a carro with Marek on the bridge, and the totally awesome fire truck blockade consisting of eight (or at least close to it) burning fire trucks. Also, rocketing Nevsky (I think) as he was speeding straight at me and having the explosion lift and turn his car just enough not to behead me. Oh, and while you were running around sniping each other oh Happiness Island, I managed to collect three -- three -- boats in a pile on one of the piers. I guess we can all agree who really won that round.
  22. Have people seen Machinarium?

Okay. For a moment I thought the game was secretly generating a random puzzle structure or something.
  23. Have people seen Machinarium?

WTF? Are you joking or is this what happened to you?
