  1. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

So, what now? Next, they're going to have to either announce some more expansions or a sequel. I'm not sure what I want the most. I'd really like to see what sort of engine they could come up with for a sequel. Even if they didn't rewrite it, I'm sure there are some great improvements to be made for a whole new game. I'd probably be willing to sacrifice some Euphoria integration for tighter control of the main character, for example, but I'd like to see more Euphoria overall. The little touches like people dropping their cups, stumbling down stairs and grabbing on to cars are really awesome.
  2. Grand Thumb Auto 38: FUCK NICK

    Well. That was gay.
  3. Sanitarium

    Oh.
  4. Minesweeper: The Adventure Game?

Well, it seemed to me they did pretty much what they set out to, which was making a shitty 1993 adventure game that looked half-bad and had lame puzzles and wasn't interesting. But keep in mind I don't like most games.
  5. Minesweeper: The Adventure Game?

I played it and it sucks ass.
  6. Mass Effect

I was totally excited about the character being transferred to the sequel, but by now I have forgotten so much they could just make sure Shepherd is an ugly man and I wouldn't notice any other discrepancies.
  7. Dragon Age

Anyone else play this in windowed mode without problems? It seems to run fine here, at first, but then everything but the hud goes black and I have to restart.
  8. Torchlight?

Isn't the story in this game like the story in Guitar Hero or something?
  9. Awesome cast and awesome news. Also, I think maybe I didn't wish Nick good luck at his new job back when they broke the news, but good luck at your new job! The future-casts and hilarious Jeff Goldblum permutations were awesome. Also, the very first dropped intro recordings were cool and bitter-sweet. Also, it's awesome that everyone complaining actually led to a sporadicast. If I'd known I'd complain some more.
  10. Idle thumbs London meet!

I guess he'll be easy to spot in a crowd.
  11. Happy Birthday!

    Happy birthday, Kolzig!
  12. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

Oh man, for some reason I thougth I was supposed to use the heavy machine gun I had just gotten. Turns out the explosive shotgun made everything easy again. Also, that wasn't the final mission, which was awesome. The final playable segment, coming down from the big finale, was just awesome.
  13. Same reason the UK has a queen and the US a president.
  14. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

Oh, Lord, anyone else get to the last mission, the ? Jesus Christ.
  15. CSI: Deadly Intent

So, PC or Xbox 360 for this one? I'm thinking PC because of the mouse.
  16. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

It's great that they can still get tons of value out of the city they built for GTA IV. For example, the mission where you would be extremely expensive to make if you had to create assets specifically for it, but now they're just getting all this free stuff.
  17. Persona 4 Endurance Run

Jesus Christ. I'm at episode 64 of this thing, and it's dawning on me that I'm spending my time watching these guys play through these tedious grinding sessions, and it's quite boring. For some reason, though, I keep watching it. For those of you who have "completed" this, will the pattern of recurring hours of grinding sessions be the same throughout the whole thing? I'm sort of interested in where this all goes -- the story is fun, the commentary is funny at times and the enemy design is crazy awesome... but I'm just about 25% through...
  18. Movie/TV recommendations

In case you're considering watching all nine seasons of The X-Files, plus the two movies, my pro tip is: don't. Or, at least, only watch the good ones. For example, anything with Darin Morgan's name anywhere near it. The biggest plus with this whole pointless thing is that I've been queuing up all the TV episodes from this fall, so I should have quality TV to last me till Christmas. Oh, and bonus question for Americans (or anyone who knows): what's the deal with Doggett's awesome tone of voice? Sometimes he did this thing where his tone went down right at the end of questions, and it was awesome. Also, Gillian Anderson's laughter is awesome. I think she laughed twice (maybe thrice) during the whole show, and it saved whatever episode it was in. Also, it's awesome when they use the same actor for various different minor parts in the show because it's an unknown guy who nobody'll recognize, only it's Locke from Lost.
  19. GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony

Yeah, the GTA soundtracks have been awesome. If they released a complete soundtrack collection on iTunes or CDs, I'd buy it in a second, but unlike the earlier games, they haven't, and only released a "best of" CD.
  20. PCs and Consoles and Clouds... Oh My!

On an unrelated note, something to do when you're strapped for cash: buy a cheap cup of coffee and then pretend to spill it on someone, preferably a rich-looking man (look for: monocle, moustache, golden cane). Then -- and this is the trick -- pretend to clean him right up, and while you clean him right up steal his wallet.
  21. I agree. Also, I might not be able to make it tomorrow, so it would be awesome if I didn't miss the first BOGT session. That's purely egoistical, of course, but I am after all at the centre of my universe.
  22. PCs and Consoles and Clouds... Oh My!

Also, you can break into a store and steal an awesome computer.
  23. Forza Motorsport 3

So I don't really like driving games, although I really liked Test Drive Unlimited for its awesomeness. Before that I guess the Lotus games and Super Cars were my favorite games. And Stunts and Stunt Car Racer. And Vette! I managed to found a hidden section of the game in Vette one time. So, Forza 3... for some reason I've finally seen some magical number of awesome screen shots of impeccable sports cars drifting around corners, and I'm starting to want this game. Does anyone here have Forza experience? I seem to remember one of you --was it Wrestle? -- mentioning playing Forza 2. How does this game compare to, say, Super Cars?
  24. No, that ellipsis is grammatical English, not mathematical. Trust me.
