I'm assuming the biggest reason people get bent out of shape over it is because it feels like a nail in the coffin for the original games, reducing the chance that another "true" sequel will ever be produced. For example, I don't expect there to be an isometric turn-based Fallout game any time soon.

Indeed a majestic city! Also, last night I started a quick game online, and guess who I got paired up with: Dibs! We had some connection issues, and in the end the game crashed (which for some reason gave me the victory, even though I was clearly losing) but it was fun while it lasted.

I don't think they do, no. I fired up the game again today, to finish up all the challenges and stranger quests, etc. I headed out looking for beavers, but after an hour of riding up and down the rivers finding nothing but raccoons and bears rivers I gave up. I don't understand what design decision lead to a mission requiring you to hunt down animals that sometimes never spawn, and for other players spawn hundreds at a time for crazy reasons. It was fun to do the various stuff in between the main missions, but now that they're the main thing to do it's just tedious. I learned this lesson with GTA IV, and now I've learned it twice.

I'm up for both XBLA and that other thing, whichever gets the most players.

I just named some stereotypical places to see. I don't know if they're any good. In fact, I've never even been on the continent. Having said that, I'm sure the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is great.

God, I've been thinking about this game constantly since I finished it. There are so many issues and annoyances, from the start and right to the end, but it still comes out so fantastically well.
