It'll be interesting to see if the game is actually voxel-based, or if it's just a voxel style. Anyway, it looks pretty neat, though a bit actiony for my own tastes.

No. I mean yes.

So I finally got the chance to play this today; local co-op on the Xbox 360 with my sister. What a great game! We did the first level, and all the various co-op stuff was nicely paced and well thought out. We had to try the final sequence where you're climbing the moving stairs a bunch of times, but it never got frustrating – I guess co-op turns frustration into fun or something... Anyway, I took a gander at the leaderboards, and it was funny; the board for the first level had three people on it, the second level had two, and apparently JamesM had the skillz to complete the third level before giving up completely. What's up? Is the game too hard or does it get terrible quickly?

Okay, so after getting past the little pixel hunting issue, the rest was really good. I felt the episodes were a little short, but who's to say how long an episode should be? It's probably just that I wanted more right away.

Let me tell you, there's nothing shriveled about Snoogles.

Actually, I've played both sequels to completion, so I know I'll both enjoy (and complete) them again. The fire berry puzzle was quite good, but most of the other ones were pretty weak.

Turns out I hadn't looked in the , which is typical stupid adventure game bullshit. I'm not saying I know how to fix it in a great way, but I would've spent hours walking around clicking every little thing before finding it, so that was a bit lame. ANYWAY, the immersion level is really great. The claymation style really adds to the feeling of a real space, and also I'm a fan of creepy stuff happening in an apartment building. As mentioned, the pacing, with mundane stuff at the beginning, with drops of weird, is so fantastic; I wonder why more games don't do this. Films have been doing it with great success forever.

Since you've completed the first episode, care to give me a hint? Could you give me just an ever so slight nudging hint in the general direction I should explore?

I thought Reckless Racing was pretty fun.

Sorry, I was too busy linking to the other thing. Now I guess this thread is going to transform into a veritable torrent of discussion.

Idle Thumbs 51: Burnin' Down the Wolfman [Now with Video!]

Don't be an asshole, he's still recovering from his wisdoom tooth! -
I haven't played much yet, but I'm really happy with the achievements so far. I know it's a highly controversial issue, but for those who get a little addicted to the little notification popup, it's nice that they didn't go all completionist with them. Of course, there are a couple of 100% ones, like the flags, feathers, etc. but I was pleased to find that the memory synchronisation one is for one memory, not all, and that the gold challenge achievement is for five challenges (I think) and not all of them.

Holy crap, you went straight from AC2 to Brotherhood? That's some hardcore shit, man.

Welcome back, Yufster! I'll help by staying away from Southern Europe and not getting in you way. Here's a tip, though: remember to exchange your pounds sterling for euros!

I have a horrible question: Does anyone know of a motherfucking way to have a video file play as the screen saver on a Windows 7 computer without any bullshit borders, transitions or whatever? I would basically like to be able to point to one file (or more) and have it play as the screen saver, full-screen. I can find tons of software that says it does this, but none that actually works. This should be doable in a couple of hours for someone with Windows programming skills, hooking into the screen saver system and the hardware accelerated video playback system, so why hasn't anyone done it? It's weird that there's sweet software for playing video as the wallpaper (also see DreamScene) but not as a screen saver. I feel like such an idiot for asking this.

toblix I've added all of you, and look forward to whatever is going to happen. I really liked the feel of the game – lightweight, nice-looking and fast but not chaotic. The UI is a tad over the top, but whatever.

Definitely! Just bought it. I'll make sure to type in all your names into the screen. What happens then, exactly?
-
Am I correct in assuming this is more of a gamepad game than a steering-wheel one?
-
Hopefully it'll pop back up on Steam, then.
-
That's sweet, but does it have sweet multiplayer, or is it just an awesome single player game with a thread in the wrong forum?
-
Fucking shit. I debated buying this yesterday, but forgot about it. Today, when I got around to it, I opened the store and the fucking clock said 23:59 and some seconds. Tell me, is there sweet multiplayer?

Even though I haven't heard all the other podcasts, it's highly unlikely there's anything better out there, so congratulations!

Thanks, I'll check it out.
