  8. Nintendo 3DS

I find it a bit worrying that nothing has happened with the BSOD issue yet. Nintendo has had plenty of time to look at it, and determine if it's a hardware issue (it's related to wifi), a software issue (Shadow Wars is particularly unstable, even though it has no online functionality), or both. It's not a huge issue for me, as I don't imagine I'll need wifi, and probably won't use the thing much at all, especially now that Capcom has decided to fuck me up the ass by not releasing the new Phoenix Wright game in English, but it would be nice to know if I bought a defective unit or not.

  11. Portal 2

If anyone wants a Portal 2 partner, I still haven't done any of the challenges. I'm in Norway though, so that rules out almost everyone.

  14. Portal 2

Isn't that confirmed, that they'll add challenge rooms? Wouldn't make sense for (all of) them to be so simple. I hope Valve will be as generous with continuous updating and new stuff in Portal 2 as they've been with their pure multiplayer games, but I guess that would still be in the form of challenge rooms and things like that. That's awesome, but it would be even awersome if they added new single-player content with more single content. I'm sure they could come up with some excuse to add more dialogue and story.

  16. Tabletop RPGs

So, what campaign setting do I choose in Character Builder? They haven't gotten around to adding Infinite Isles yet.
  17. Tabletop RPGs

Yeah. I guess it's a game that's hard to make a good demo version of. Still, I know some more specific piracy talk has been frowned upon by the management before, so I'd be careful offering to PM people scans, etc. Anyway, now there's talk of creating characters and time limits. Has the selection of system, who gets to play, and when, been done already? Was I one of the lucky winners?
  18. Tabletop RPGs

What is this, the Pirate Bay? Why is pirating books suddenly fine?
  19. Movie/TV recommendations

    Actually, it's "Trekerasts."
  20. Sony Shitshow

According to this, they did hash the passwords. So if they're still saying the hackers got our passwords, this means they didn't salt them, which is still almost as bad.
  21. Sony Shitshow

If you receive an email with your password after registering for the first this doesn't necessarily mean they're storing a clear text or decryptable version of your password, though. It's lame to do it, but they could still be hashing your password in all the right ways.
  22. Isn't it the comic book: the game, then? Whatever it is, I'm glad it's not tied up in whatever happens with the show. The comic book is fantastic. Oh, sorry, didn't catch that. I'd still listen to them with your kitchen acoustics, but good sound (like the Thumbs casts had, for example) is always super pleasing.
  23. Good cast, guys! One thing, though: please adjust the sound compression on your podcast. It sounds echoey. I think the idea of having a third person in there is a good one, but please don't completely stop being just the two of you. The witty and uninhibited nerd feedback loop is priceless, and needs to be recorded for posterity. Also, is the game officially The Walking Dead: The Comic: The Game, or is it The Television Show: The Game?

To me, the password thing is the most critical, since I've not been great at using different passwords everywhere. So, because of this, I've started generating unique passwords for each account I have and storing them in 1Password, which I have set up on my computers and phone, synced over Dropbox. It's easy to set up, and, though there will now only be one password for everything, it'll be much more secure since I'll never have to submit it to anyone on the internet. I'm only doing this for stuff related to me personally or my money. For everything else I'll keep using my easy to remember (and guess) passwords. If someone else guesses it, they're welcome to my forum accounts.

Okay, so: if it turns out we're doing this, and we're doing 4th edition, I'll be able to use my subscription to: Create and level up my character Look up specific rules, etc. ... but I'll also need/get use out of the three player's handbooks if I were to buy them?
