DON'T SEND HIM THE CODE

Who, me?

I had a hilarious moment when I was entering my car just like I usually do. Phelps went around to the driver's side and was about to open the door when a huge-ass truck drove into him an pinned him to the police car. Phelps let out a horrible, bloodcurdling scream as his intestines and spine were twisted and broken by the powerful truck slowly grinding against him. However, moments later the truck managed to get loose and continued on its way; Phelps was also seemingly unaffected by the whole thing, and just got in his car like nothing had happened. It's moments like that that in part define Rockstar games. There's just so many things going on there's bound to be weird edge cases where bugs come together to make something special happen.

If wonder how you people have been seeing Euphoria in action so much playing L.A. Noire. Surely you conducted yourself like a proper police officer at all times?
-
I won't be able to run into everyone and ruin everyone's fun tomorrow, but if you're doing Wednesday as well I'll be able to then.
-
Euphoria is just the character IK engine that makes people spill their drinks and tumble down stairs.

I read somewhere that Rockstar has this thing where they work really hard to make all their games have the same Rockstar feeling, or something. I guess that's why it feels so much like GTA. It would also explain all the arms.

I should also mention that that was awesome. I'm usually disappointed when I see robotics move around as slowly as they tend to do, because I imagine stressed people standing around waiting for some slow-ass cupboard to slowly inch its way down a comically long corridor, but I guess that if you have enough of these around, use them for non-critical stuff (I assume they're still using vacuum tubes for that), and provided they always work, it must be really useful for moving tons of stuff around. If they've combined it with an electronic inventory system you've basically got yourself magically replenishing stock rooms. In ten years you'll probably see patients being transported in the same way. And in another ten they'll administer medicines. Ten more years, and they'll do operation preparation and sewing up, letting surgeons focus on the nitty-gritty details. After ten more years robots will feel testicles and prostates. 2100 AD THE YEAR IS 2100 AD. WAR WAS BEGINNING. ROBOTS NOW CONTROL ENTIRE HOSPITALS. SICK PEOPLE ENTER AND LEAVE MOMENTS LATER BUT THERE IS A SECRET THEY ARE CHANGING US the battle is lost and humanity is slaves to robots

I'm bailing out!

I would probably not start using jQuery straight away if I were completely new to javascript, as I reckon it would only add to the confusion. Also, isn't there a completely free version of Visual Studio?

Sweet! I'm glad it made you have fun.

There was this game where you play as an American soldier fighting in the Middle East. You view the action through the eyes of this solder, and you can see the selected weapon in front of you as you traverse the environments. I don't quite remember the story details, but the whole thing was pretty tightly scripted. There were a number of different missions. At one point you manned the turret of a tank, and I also remember having to grab a rocket launcher to take out some incoming enemy vehicles. Oh, and there's a section where a grenade blast knocks you so unconscious the screen gets all blurry and your squad mates have to pull you to safety.

I'd say it depends on what you would like to do. What would you like to make? Most languages are pretty similar – if you master one you should pick up others with only minor difficulty, but some are more suited to certain stuff like desktop applications, web applications or what have you. Again, what do you want to make?

I'm confused. Is this or isn't this the game where there's a beach and dungeons and it has a mirror game, sort of, called something else?

You should definitely not "get away" from HTML. If you try rewriting your thing in HTML, CSS and javascript, you'd be learning some useful stuff. If it's not a problem having to run it in a browser, you should look into it. There's not much you can't do using those tools, especially if you're not afraid to target the latest generation of browsers. Also, if a browser update breaks your program, it's most likely a fault with your program, and you should consider it a chance to find out what's wrong and improve your code.

After playing this some more, my final verdict, unfortunately, is 56.8%. It's pretty, and it's probably fun if you get to grips with the interface. Too bad the interface is really, really poor. Everything is a huge pain, and instead of watching your trams and buses wind their way around city streets, you're closing a bunch of chaotic, weirdly interconnected windows while at the same time trying not to place pieces of tram tracks all over the place. I guess one good thing that came out of it, is that I feel that need to load up OpenTTD again. Or maybe RollerCoaster Tycoon.

WHAT AGAIN.

What is this. I watched about two minutes, expecting some kind of hilarious thing to occur.

Everything is coming together. They're pulling out of Steam while at the same time removing my desire to play any of their games.

I was imagining a sort of drawn out "egg," which is fine.

Not to derail the thread, but how am I to read "Eggghhh..." Is the g silent?

Poo had a brilliant idea for my name, but I'll post it in the elite RPG forum instead.
