I was surprised, nay shocked not to see this reported on Idle Thumbs. Come on LucasArts, SHARE THE LOVE.

Nuking billions in multiplayer games of Civ 3. Always a winner, that.

We should all play doom multiplayer just before doom 3 comes out. Then we could do doom -> doom 2 -> doom 3. That would be totally sweet.

Mechwarrior 2 stands out for being the first intro that made me go LOLWTF?!!!!!!11111111111 More recently, Diablo 2. Freelancer had a fun intro too, sort of impacts on a more emotional level than the actual content of the intro suggests. That and I'm a big girl... I nearly cried whilst watching Spiderman 2, you know.

Shells and fins is the way to go, although it's still expensive (at least it is on my 9800). The XDK sample with the teddy bear is nice (hairdriers are cool ), but unrealistic with other stuff going on. Roll on 'next next next gen' consoles.
