I'm not usually a big RTS fan but absolutely adored Rome Total WAr, when Medieval 2 came out I immediately purchased it played it a bit and found my self not getting into it, it just didn't feel as satisfying, so I gave up on it. Just wondering if anyone played it and can give me their opinion as to whether it is worth giving another go?

I agree with Vimes every episode there are about 5 occasions where I cringe at the stupidity of a character.

I fell behind so haven't read what everyone has written, just watched ep 7 that was bloody superb.

It greatly took away from the charm of the films, but I think its biggest problem was that the plot seemed like it was written to fit in around a load of action sequences, so u get this messy story that lacks direction jammed in between overly long action/comedy sequences which don't progress events at all, oh and the plot that they felt need to spread over 2 quite long films could have easily been fitted into a single normal length film.

I wasn't comparing it to the other films. It is another realisation of a fictional character, and I picture that character in a very different way to how Bale/Nolan portray him, so I don't like it. It is a highly subjective opinion.

I don't know about these films, I reckon Bale really fails to pull off the dark twisted soul that the bat is in my head.

Have u not learned anything from the previous games, u don't buy it. Wait outside a shop where someone would have pre-ordered it and wait for them to pick it up and leave the shop then either, a) jack a car a run it into them find a baseball bat lying in the street or steal it off someone in a gang and go and smash his head in. c) fuck stealing the game, go a score with a prossie and then kill her for laughs and to get your money back.

you've got to desensitises them at a young age, these kids aren't lucky enough to grow up with Thatcher as their leader, she taught us how to fuck people over, luckily for them they have the hookers in GTA to help them learn, it's not quite as good as Thatcher but it'll do.

Marketing can be a shit magnet, but you do get some good people in it who do a good job, a bit of marketing is always needed but sadly advertising budgets have the essence of a "prisoner’s dilemma" game. Everyone is better off if they only spend a bit on it, but if one company spends more on it they reap huge benefits and those that don't match the spending are fucked, so everyone is forced to spend too much on it.

I don't see it necessarily being all that a great a solution, I'm not up on my inter-web so my arguments may well be bollox. If they have a million server requests from bots surely my single attempt to access the site will only have a 1 in a million chance of the being the one that the server chooses to deal with at the time (so the site isn't crashed but it's still not effectively accessible), and although the idea of making the computer solve a problem seems like a good idea won't it be incredibly difficult to find an appropriate complexity for the problem that allows me on my old PC to not be overly slowed and be less than a tickle to a top end PC.
