Ignoring some of the absolute crap in his arguments (such as the above) I have to agree with elmuerte. Thrik in the case of the winkie eating dog, did the child die? If it didn't it was probably because the parents were next door and could hear what was happening and then react to the situation. Discussing parenting in terms of binary good and bad is pointless, theirs' was a foolish yet understandable mistake (only marginally poor parenting). What would have made it a terrible piece of parenting is if they left their child in that situation and went 120m away in a noisy restaurant so they probably wouldn't have heard anything. The McCans left their three toddlers completely out of contact (sight and sound) of anyone responsible. If the 120 meters were 1.2 miles then the children would have only been slightly more vulnerable. It was an atrocious bit of parenting, it in no way means that they deserved what happened. But neither the fact that they were generally good parents nor that nearly every parent has done something similar have an impact on how poor a decision it was to leave such young children unsupervised.

I'm confused, is that on the xbox 360, u have to install games, or is that jsut for DLC. Is it as easy to upgrade the hardrive of the 360 as it was the xbox?

They would if they were an alien bounty hunter, or maybe they wouldn't but they would have tracked her down by now and gotten her back if she was still alive (very unlikely given the amount of media attention, it would have been better to not have such a large media campaign, that way the kidnapper wouldn't have gotten scared and killed her, and then hired an army of private investigators with all the money u conned out of people to pay your mortgage) or avenged her when her mangled, battered and pre and post-mortem raped body. Also I don't think how deep a child sleeps affects anything, ok u don't have to worry about them messing themselves up, but what about things like them choking during the night, a fire starting or any of the other million things that could happen that a baby/toddler wouldn't be able to deal with but an adult would.

Any number of circumstances could have arisen that a young child isn't equipped to deal with, and as a parent it is your responsibility and your duty to be within earshot of your young child when that happens (or to ensure a trusted person is) .

Not really, due to the choppy economy there are already signs of the retail sector recessing, games are very likely to be hard hit by this. Also I imagine most the short term gain has been grabbed already, there may still be a bit more, but if it becomes over priced u’ll have to make sure u get out before this is realised.

I think that it is disgusting that while there are starving people in Africa ( ) u use food as a mere prop in your music video, and this is meant to be a time of love and sharing, the lovely music placated me slightly (made me want to go a run around a Japanese RPG village and talk to all the people ), but I fear the only thing that can truly calm my wrath is being sent one of the two jelly tot things

Ok the article I read misinformed me, it implied Vivendi would be merging Blizzard with Activision where as they are merging their whole games division with Activision. My point still remains I don't see why they choose to merge with Activision, they have had a very successful year, but that seems to be from milking one or two (what seem like developer lead) innovations for all they are worth. Activision games often feel like they are pushed out of the door too quickly with the same old ideas rehashed, despite their recent financial success I don't see them as a strong partner. I guess if their milking philosophies are applied to blizzard's franchises a cash cow will be formed, but sadly that's a short term attitude, that will eventually dry up.

I can't wait to let my vocals talents rip this game up.

Does anyone know where I can get data of sales from the games industry (for the past 5 or so years), if I get bored during chrimbo it is my mission to show that clumping 75% of great and good game releases into a 1-2 month period is counterproductive. Hopefully I will be able to conclude that it is a good to give people games throughout the year. I've got a few different ideas for the approach, but these depend on what sort of data (if any I can get my hands on)

I may try seeing if I can blag data from chart track by playing the student card, probably won't work, but I may do.

Still haven't seen it yet, but I have a question. Is it their fatness that prevents them from hunting? When i think of fat teens, I think of stupid fat chavs, and when I picture the show I sadly don't see a chubby teen with spear in hand waddling after a gazelle (partly as it's not set in Africa) but stupid teen trying to set a trap but being too much of a chav and an idiot to do it, I guess those podgy little fingers could get in the way.

I love christmas shopping, i wait until early afternoon on christmas eve, sharpen up my elbos and go for it, with the aim of being next to the fire in the pub as earlier as possible. Sadly I'm having to do a no present pact with everyone this year as I'm poor.

I'd be surprised if that would have individual game data in it, the total sales data is probably the stuff that perpetuates such myths. Do games companies only rely on their own sales data, is there no exchange of information?
