  1. Syberia Blows

I mean look at this cover art!!! horror!!!! She's so ugly! man what the hell were they thinking?? At least the guys at Monolith had enough sense to give Cate Archer facelift for NOLF sequel, but as far as i know Microids didn't bother changing Kate Walker's face. If you're gonna have an ugly protagonist, at least have enough sense to put her OUT of the cover. PUt a mammoth instead! sheesh, and they expect their games to sell??? don't tell me i'm being shallow!!!!
  2. Syberia Blows

All I know is that they could've put a donkey's face in its place and I wouldn't have spotted a difference.
  3. Mafia 2?

Yeah the ending was awesome. But it was weird seeing a young man's voice coming out of the old Tommy.
  4. Mafia 2?

I had a major beginner's luck with the race level. I won the first time I played. and it was pre patch too! I hear the patch makes the race a bit forgiving.

I wished they'd make all the buildings "enterable" There's no reason why you can't do it. If you're a smart programmer, you can make the engine generate the floor plan procedually during runtime instead of modelling each one by hand (which could take forever). and it doesn't need to be rendered until the player opens the door, so it won't tax the videocard that much. I think that could open up a lot of new gameplay possibilities...
  6. Sexuality, Sophistication, and Style

I think those mature enough to seek the "3 s's" in their entertainment wouldn't bother with a video game and look elsewhere
  7. Nintendo DS pics

I can't afford them either. "I'll have to get em both", manny? You must be a hollywood producer or something. I was in the mall the other day and saw PS1 on sale for 39 bucks canadian, which is less than 30 dollars u.s. I was like "OH PS1!!! I've wanted one for YEARS!!!" but I couldn't afford it and softly weeped to myself. the bus fare home cost every coin I had in my wallet, and I headed home completely broke. true story.
  8. BioWare

To my knowledge, Black Isle is.. *was* part of Interplay, and Bioware is a company on its own. And Baldur's Gate (including its sequel) was developed by Bioware.
  9. The Lost Vikings

It's my favourite puzzle/platformer ever! The sequel was cool too. I always thought that it'd make an interesting multiplayer game.
  10. BioWare

PS:T is the best rpg ever made. Perfect gameplay, story, music, graphics, everything. Runs too fast on your computer??? really? I tried running it on p4 2.0 ghz and it runs just fine. what computer do you have? Did you try the patch?
  11. fear : of other games..

Games don't scare me, but they startle me from time to time.
  12. GTA: San Andreas (Screenshots)

Hehe I didn't know your article had any point. I'll go read it now and see how it relates to my offhanded remark. gaaah! it's 4 pages long!! Edit: Stevan you magnificent bastard, that was an awesome article!!
  13. GTA: San Andreas (Screenshots)

nice ghetto. they really know their target audience, don't they? seriously they don't look so bad considering it's a ps2 game.
  14. BioWare

yes but maybe they could've handled it better... when the game imposes limitations on where the player can go and cannot go with seemingly no reason, I tend to lose my suspension of disbelief. I mean what's stopping me from travelling to the planet next to Dantooine, say? In BG games I didn't feel like I was hitting any roadblocks. They practically let you travel to anywhere you like (as long as it's within the map)
  15. Aliens invade Mexico

the UFO story doesn't seem so incredible in comparison.
  16. BioWare

Baldur's Gate series is probably Bioware's best effort. I just love'em. Knights of the Old Republic was pretty good, but nowhere near as good as BG series. There were only a handful of planets you could travel to, and each planet only has one or two cities with only a few dozen dwellers, which made the universe feel very tiny. I didn't find the game challenging, plus I thought the "plot twist" near the end was kinda corny. NWN was just crap (or at least the single player part of it). Too damn many locked& trapped chests, repetitive tile-based world, seemingly useless henchman, dissatisfying ending, etc... The quality of their games seem to fluctuate unpredictably.
  17. I like another world better because of its cinematic presentation and atmosphere, but on the gameplay side, flashback leaves more lasting impression.
  18. Spaff's room is actually not so bad

meh looks like typical korean pc gaming environment
  19. I didn't really mean to post an image reply. My finger slipped. Lemmings rules! btw. I could spend hours watching their little heads explode.
  20. Debate

Oh good. I was starting to believe that my comprehension abilities started to wane...
  21. The Excellent Game Psychonauts

I salute you, you lucky bastard
  22. Beyond Good & Evil

I liked the art direction. And a few unique gameplay elements (like taking photos). I didn't like the action sequences - mostly mindless button mashing - and didn't like the ending. But still the best game I've played in years. Anachronox, a vastly underrated rpg of a few years back, also had photo-taking quests.... Does anyone remember that game?
