Did it? I don't have Far Cry so I must've been wrong. Actually I'm pretty sure everything in that game is dynamically lit and it does not rely on traditional lightmapping. There were quite a number of developer interviews discussing how unified dynamic lighting system is gonna affect the gameplay and how it's "the future of gaming" and everything. Plus I played the game.

Doesn't Far Cry have unified lighting system just like Doom 3? Deus Ex: Invisible War did also, and it beat Doom 3's release date by almost a year. (although it's slow as hell) Plus it had havoc physics and everything was interactive, just like Half-life 2. (although it's shitty and unrealistic as hell) Truly DE:IW is the pioneer of pioneers of next-gen engines.

It looks like just another movie trapped in the Disney formula. But it could be good. Who knows.

I've played Zero Mission I really liked was the change of pace near the end where you're constantly running away from the space pirates completely defenseless. I can't imagine an entire game being like that from beginning to the end though. That'd totally tire me out.

Futurama: 26 new episodes according to Billy West
Jayel replied to Oath's topic in Movies & Television
Woohoo! More DVD box sets for me to spend money on! I like Futurama. It has the lowest suck-to-not-suck ratio of any animated TV shows I've seen. -
I've had fun with Metroid Prime until I got bored with it. Is this game different or better?

This game is selling very well. It's #1 at EBGames and it's been sold out at every BestBuy in my area. I'd love to attribute this to gameplay, but we all know that quality has got nothing to do with sales. I never expected a turn based 4X game with shoddy graphics would gain this much attention. Is it because Penny Arcade praised it? Or because it has "civilization" in its title? Or maybe to spite StarForce?

I can tell you which ones are my least favourite. The Adventure of Link, because I don't know what the hell's going on in that one. And Majora's Mask because I can never get to the first checkpoint.

I thought he served merely as a consultant and didn't do anything for the Sands of Time.

I know virtually nothing about the business side of the game industry, but... I have a feeling that the game development companies don't make a penny out of games sold in bargain bins. If they do, why are they so damn expensive to begin with? Because of short shelf-life? I don't buy it.

How about 3DMark06? Or F.E.A.R?
-
So I guess it doesn't really fold. And it doesn't have Vista on it? That's disappointing. But still, I'd get this over a bulky expensive laptop any day.

I'm glad I decided to buy Micro when I did! I almost got a DS and I would've regretted for the rest of my life.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't there been like three dozen films named "Crash" already?

Hate those load times. If a game has a long load time, it should at least give us something to look at while we're waiting. Like LSL MCL. Perhaps something more tasteful.

Haven't seen the show. Too busy. But even if I weren't I wouldn't have seen it anyway. I haven't even seen any of the nominated films. edit: oh, it was Jon Stewart hosting this year right? I'm a big fan of the Daily Show. Maybe I would've seen the ceremony after all.

Perhaps it was Samuel L Jackson who suggested Attack of the Clones to Lucas.

How do spamming forums work? Is it some automated script that automatically registers and posts, or is it some guy spending precious time doing it?
-
Is it inspired by 24/GTA/Outcast/Insider/Sleeping Beauty by any chance?

I'd get one. If I had the money. I hate having to disconnect all the wires on my desktop and pack everything nicely and safely everytime I move.

Oh I almost forgot! I got used copy of REZ (ps2) for 23 bucks at EB games last year. I thought it was expensive then. edit: I just checked Ebay and it doesn't seem as rare as it used to be. What happened?

I bought Unreal Tournament 2004 2-dvd special edition for $9.99 early last year at eb games. I knew they mispriced the thing, and sure enough, it went back up to $49 the next week. Darkened Skye for 9.99. I love that little game. About a decade ago, I got Tornado for 99cents, brand new, along with 185lbs manual (can't play it anymore though - DOS only.) I spotted Freedom Force vs The Third Reich for 9.99 a couple months ago, but decided not to get it because of the whole starforce thingy.

I've been burning Danish flags because that's what popular kids seem to be doing these days.

I haven't visited my town since September. I'm sure every townfolk is dead by now.

I just tried Riven and it refuses to run under windows 2000. Apparently it's not supported (what kind of game supports both win98 and winxp but not win2k anyway?). Gee, that was money well-spent.
