  1. A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game

I played the demo when it first came out and I loved every bit of it, but once I learned that there was a time limit to the game, I avoided it. I want to play RPGs on my own term without such silly constraints. I played through it recently and I liked it, but after experiencing Torment, it's underwhelming.
  2. Bad games that are good

Darkened Skye is kinda sucky but I love it because it's the closest a PC game can get to Skittles. Yum.
  3. What's your favourite movie?

It's not everyday I see favourite movies lists without Citizen Kane mentioned at least once.
  4. I'm quite partial to the old fashioned clapper. Imagine how special the interviewees would feel if you were the only journalist in town to use one.
  5. how about a separate recorder + a clapper?
  6. Erik Wolpaw

This name rings a bell.. did he work for Gamespot, PC gamer or CGW by any chance? I remember hating this reviewer because I never agreed with anything he wrote, and it might have been him.
  7. I didn't like Beyond Good & Evil as much as Anachronox. I find those two very similar in many ways. I agree with the article - words fail to describe those games and I have a hard time convincing anyone to play these games.
  8. Movie/TV recommendations

    Sounds like it's worth a watching. I'll definitely buy it/rent it/pirate it/wait until it's back on TV.
  9. I think it's an Unreal Tournament 2003 or 2004 mod. It looks very interesting. Vaguely reminds me of Parappa Rapper.
  10. Movie/TV recommendations

Has anyone seen Babylon 5? If so, how is it? Compared to Battlestar Galactica? (yes, I know it's old)
  11. I have a crappy cell phone that's at least 5 years old. It does have blackjack however and I play it occasionally. I'm sure the dealer cheats.
  12. Team Fortress 2 and Portal

Not a day goes by that I don't ask myself the very question.
  13. Team Fortress 2 and Portal

Ah but that's not how my brain works.
  14. Team Fortress 2 and Portal

TFC is prolly my favourite multiplayer FPS of all time. TF2 looks totally awesome. Too bad it's bundled with episode 2 because I can't buy it until I beat episode 1 and I can't buy episode 1 until I beat half-life 2.
  15. Cancel the Simpsons?

Hell, no. It's no longer funny and I don't watch it as regularily as I used to, but I'd hate to see it go. It's like... it's all right with the world as long as it's still on the air, you know?
  16. Grim Fandango Movie Rumors

Burton should've made a Grim Fandango movie instead of Corpse Bride. It would've been just as big a failure (from commercial point of view), but would've been a better movie.
  17. We can always hope for an alien invasion to unite the masses
  18. MaChe?

Glee! More exposure! Other than that, shame on you Kotaku for not asking for permission first.
  19. Monkey Island Music On Piano

I taught myself to play Captain Dread thanks to the sheet music by this guy on the video. Quite a challenge it was, considering that I'm neither musically inclined nor know how to read sheet music.
  20. anime

I haven't seen many animes, but Paranoia Agent is probably my favourite. Oh and I didn't like Cowboy Bebop nor Samurai Champloo. Too melodramatic with very little substance.
  21. DOPEFISH LIVES!... In Sin?

the dopefish blends better into the screenshot than that godawful hud.
  22. PS3 to "KILL PC" also: it's not expensive enough.

The only reasons why one would want a multimedia PC are for PVR functionality and ability to play PC games on big screen TV. Neither of which PS3 can provide (as far as I know) If everyone bought PS3 to replace their PCs, Sony would quickly go bankrupt. There's a pleasing thought.
  23. Show Us Your Animation Skill0rz

http://www.thepartybasket.co.uk/flipbook/flip.unfortun.html woo hoo! i love these flipbook thingies
  24. Holy Uncanny Valley

Realism often comes at the cost of believability. Especially in animations. Extra especially in crappy cgi movies like Polar Express.
  25. Final Fantasy for the PC

    #@$%!
