I want one of those http://store.shopfujitsu.com/ca/EcomCA/buildseriesbean.do?series=P1610 8.9" screen. Less than 1kg. It's so ultra portable you could accidentally inhale it.

I noticed a huge drop in framerates too. It only happens after a period of playing (say, 10 minutes). Every time it happens, I had to quit and reload. Annoying... I noticed a similar behaviour with Telltale's Texas Hold'em demo. It would progressively get slower and slower and kept taking more and more memory (according to Windows' task manager) until the system ran out of physical memory and then it would crash. I don't know if that was ever fixed, or if it's at all related to the framerate issues with episode 3.

Ahahaha I feel the same way. I load the game and have no idea where I'm supposed to go, so I pick a random door and trek for about an hour and realize I already went through this area a hundred times. That's when I say "fuck it" and play katamari instead.

Yeah, you'll get used to the controls pretty quickly. This game would've been one of my favourites ever if I had the free time to do all the backtracking exploring this game requires you to do.

I thought the console makers didn't want to turn their consoles into PCs because then they'd lose control over the content, not to mention the licencing fees.

If I had to choose between a single-player RPG and a MMORPG, I'd probably go for single-player.

We have a bucketful of Tim Horton's ground coffee at work here, but the coffee machine's been broken for a while. So I have no choice but to drink some cheap tea.

The most recent game I played was Situation Comedy. Right now I'm STILL trying to get through Baldur's Gate 2 so that I can finally move onto other RPGs. Widescreen monitor has somewhat rekindled my interest in Half-life2 but not much. Part of the reason why I'm not that excited about PC gaming is that I'm pretty much spending 10 hours a day on a PC at work. I don't want to come home and spend an extra couple hours sitting in front of another PC.

I hear nothing of what kind of games iPhone is capable of? It'd be awesome to see some games that utilize its motion sensors.

I haven't upgraded my PC in 2 years (apart from the rocking big-ass widescreen monitor - which is totally wasted because none of the games I play support widescreen mode) and continue to see no reason to. I hope Vista doesn't end up completely destroying whatever's left of the PC gaming market: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=12314

Now I have even less respect for Sony, which I thought wasn't possible.

Awesome, but I'm already wearing a t-shirt with a photo of my face printed on it.

Virtualization (which is what Parallels does) is not really emulation. In virtualization the machine code is ran natively without any translation or preprocessing, so the speed difference should be negligible. Theoretically. I suspect 3d games will run at their native speed if they ever get it working, but don't take my word for it.

Donuts! Because I made it. (warning: I might be a tiny bit biased) Shadow of the Colossus, Gears of War, and Sam & Max Episode 1 were pretty awesome too. I don't think I played any other games from 2006.

Damn. I just bought xbox 360 two weeks ago. Now what am I supposed to do with this outdated piece of machinary.
-
having recently purchased a widescreen monitor, I'm outraged! Other than that, I love it. Is it my imagination, or are some of the lines from the first episode re-recorded?

Incidentally, my Quake3 screen name is JPEG. Awesome choice.

I ordered the first season last night. Yippeee! I like what I see so far. Activation? How? I just downloaded, installed, and played without going through any activation process.

I like the game but I think the difficulty could've been turned down somewhat for the GBA version. I'm stuck in the ice dungeon with the ridiculous number of floors. I actually got to the boss on the last floor a few times but I don't have any of the health potions left. Too lazy to exit the place and fill them up.

I beat FF1 and 2. I kinda liked them. (My last post was a play on what the end boss actually says in FF2) ALTHOUGH I wouldn't have enjoyed them as much if it weren't for the save-anywhere feature found only on GBA remake. I'm currently playing (in any spare time I can squeeze through) FF4 remake for GBA, but it has the traditional console style save which is frustrating.

A mere human being, which deals in false justice and forsaken love, cannot hope to understand FF games.

When does the first episode air in Canada?

I never wore a suit to an interview and I found jobs fine... I don't plan to wear a suit, ever. Unless it becomes fashionable.

I agree. Could've been the best game of its time, but marred only by its controls.
