Does it really have 2 touch screens? I can't find a reference to it.

WHAT I'm shocked. I could've never guessed that he's a republican, let alone donate a large sum of money to republican campaign. Come to think of it, his latest quote about how he'd rather produce a financially successful game than a critically acclaimed one didn't sit well with me.

I've only played the demo so far, and I'm liking it so much I plan to get the full game this week. Just a simple short demo has so much replayability already. I played through it twice just running and gunning, a couple more but without using guns. Then I found that cloak last much longer and more useful if you stay prone, so I played it again using stealth. Stealth is fun, but I wish they had some way of disposing dead bodies. I like enemies AI. What it does differently from other games is that enemies actually get startled when you pull off those superhuman moves. They will stare at you awestruct for a moment, so you can punch them in the face before they regain their composure. I have a 8800gtx running winxp, no slowdowns whatsoever at high settings at 1680x1050. I tried the dx10 features hack, which makes the game look much better (if you can believe it) but it's only playable at 1280x800. You may have to stick with medium settings if your videocard is anything older than a current-gen.

Gleeeee!!! I hope they ship to canada. Man, I can't believe they managed to turn a stinkin CUBE into a memorable and somewhat likable character.

Just finished the campaign! I thought it was gonna be some stupid puzzle game, but I was so very wrong. Granted none of the puzzles were really cerebral and seemd to rely more on timing, but everything else just blew me away. This alone was totally worth the price of the entire orange box. I wish I can bang my head against a brick wall until I lose all my memory so I can play through it again fresh.

I played Lost Dutchman Mine on PC. It's positively awesome. I think I spent half of my childhood playing that and Jones in the Fast Lane from Sierra. Lawnmower Man games are god-awful but I remember them fondly.

Whoa, hey, that's like knocking id because they aren't as inventive as Valve. Blizzard's great and all, but come on.

Had the announcement been Homeworld 3 from Relic, I'd be emptying my bowel in my seat right now, unable to contain more than just my excitement. Starcraft... meh.

It's technically impressive. Not too fun to play.

I was surprised that this game received generally good reviews. The original PC game was embarrassingly average (you know, the blatant Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo clone).

I've yet to see a dog play the piano competently on youtube or google videos. Clearly, cats are superior.

Just nitpicking: Back in CGA, MCGA days, monitors were still 4:3 but they used non-square pixels. So even though 320x200 seems like a widescreen resolution, it's not. It's true though that almost 100% of widescreen monitors these days are 16:10.

Awww I was hoping this time it would be set in rural countrysides. with cows.

I may have been skipping dialogues because I was running under the time limit. (again, I don't remember) I'm sure I would've picked up on the clues and reach the save point if I was persistent enough, but given that games usually get more difficult as you progress further, I concluded that I may die of stress if I kept on playing. Seriously, what other game makes you replay like 2 hours if you miss a savepoint? With time limit? maybe I'll give it another chance with an emulator.

It's been many years since I attempted it, but if I recall correctly... every time I reached the end of the third day (even with time to spare), I was just sitting there wondering "what now?" until finally the time ran out and I had to start all over again.
-
The first impression was awesome, but after playing it for an entire day, trying to reach the first save point again and again and again and again... I threw the controller and gave up. A game should not be this frustrating.

They both look totally awesome. But since I'm boycotting Sony, I know which one I'm gonna play. I hope I have Wii by the time SPM is released.

My company recently switched from Thunderbird to Outlook and everyone's complaining about it.

I've recently watched Jesus Camp, Friends of God, and Idiocracy. All very similar films.

I very much like the way it's shot. It gives the whole documentary feel.

Deluxe Paint!! Guybrush Threepwood!! who knows what protagonist name they'd have ended up with if it weren't for EA

Woohoo! I can finally play games that's for XP only! Supreme Commander here I come
-
It took so long for me to upgrade to XP because all the games and stuff ran fine under 2000 until recent games like Supreme Commander demo and Company of Heroes came along. Oh and also Myst 2 (Riven) - who the hell knows why. I'm also concerned about the whole Vista's DRM thing. Not so much on downgrading signals or revoking my licenses to playback protected contents (that's not happening yet, and by the time that's implemented I'd be using Linux or OSX or something), but the fact that it might increase the cost of hardware by forcing all the videocard manufacturers to adhere to the strict DRM standards (unhackable signals etc) set by the movie industry. Why should WE have to pay for the stuff we dont want/need just to satisfy rich movie producers' crazy paranoia? Most of us won't even be watching movies on our PCs anyway.

Hey I didn't know Firefox could do themes. I downloaded a few and they're great. I do think IE7 looks fancy. I especially love how it displays its contents. Text are antialiased by default, zooming actually zooms instead of simply resizing font... Anyway, Supreme Commander is a big disappointment. I find myself wanting to play games that can run at more than 5fps on my pc.

Yeah, I upgraded to XP. I'm surprised at how much I'm liking it. Internet Explorer 7 looks fancy and so does Media Player 11. Too bad I'm mostly gonna be using fugly Firefox and VLC player.
