I was really bummed last night when I got a bonus of 100-something and despite getting a Steam achievement, the actual in-game reward was still just 100 gems, 1 charge, and 1 health. Owned. I guess I should figure out the exact number at which the combo maxes out, and break every combo there.

I was like this with both PC gaming and hardware, and cars. In high school I knew basically everything about all cars, mainly fast and expensive ones. Pretty much entirely useless knowledge, haha. Now I don't even own a car!

Sorry, what I meant by this is that this level of sophistication and complexity mirroring real-world economic behavior and manipulation is (at least to my knowledge) unique to video games among fictional or hobby pursuits, not that it has no real-world analogue. The thing that's mind-blowing about it is that it DOES mirror real-world behavior, not that it doesn't.

This game is SO GOOD.

I don't imagine most people appreciate C.P.U. Bach for the same reasons they appreciate J.S. Bach. You appreciate J.S. Bach for his actual work, and you appreciate C.P.U. Bach as a striving labor of love inspired by someone's deep appreciation of J.S. Bach, and for how it might provide a new avenue by which to appreciate J.S. Bach.

I was about to do so the night of release, but it ended up taking me so long to get Twitch/Xsplit streaming set up that by the time I was finally ready to go, it was too late for me to want to commit to starting a stream.

My game is bugged After about 30 seconds it crashes, every time. Can't play.

I've also heard it postulated that black and Hispanic kids are more likely to have grown up with access to arcades than to video game equipment in their own homes, although I imagine this would be increasingly less common across all demographics as time progresses.

I don't object to a revelation that you are a character in the world; as you indicate, that is obvious. In fact, it was SO obvious to me that the heavy-handed revelation of it is what felt unnecessary and intrusive.
