Your favorite Monkey Island? (not a serious thread, go away!)
Chris replied to schepton's topic in Idle Banter
Tim Schafer should buy the rights to Monkey Island and make a sequel where Guybrush and Elaine have a kid who travels through time to Day of the Tentacle but then there's a mistake with the time machine and he dies but actually he's Mexican so he goes to the Land of the Dead and hangs out with Manny!@!! -
Ah yes, good old The Bitmap Brothers. I still think it's weird that you are able to easily identify so many of these random industry people.

Yeah, I remember this game. I think I talked to you about it one time, or maybe it was someone else. Man, I'm the king of useful, constructive posts. And redundancy.

No, never heard of that. Man, someone should really make a game like Pirates of the Caribbean where you can like walk around and stuff, just like Gamespot said. Anyone heard of Samorost? -

Destroy All Humans

Well, don't expect anything extraordinarily deep or revolutionary. Its main draw is what appears to be an awesome physics engine and highly destructable environments. As Jake was saying at E3, it's sort of what Armed and Dangerous should(/could) have been, without the humour.
-
Mercenaries is much more destruction-based than GTA. From what we saw at E3, it looks to be something of a stress-reliever. You load up the game, and you have a million and a half ways to destroy a city. Honestly, in person it looks a lot better than I expected it to.

My name is Chris and I found these forums because I apparently write for the site on which they're hosted. Perhaps I'll add more to this fascinating biography later.

Egads, no. McGee would just go out of his way to make it all fucked up and more weird than it already is, and totally forget about the soul of the thing.

You should watch more political statements, wars in Iraq, and strange art house crap.
-
I'd prefer to watch something artsy. HAHA I DISOBEY. to Jake: also, I totally can't believe you eat at Taco Bell

I've said it before and I'll say it again: that man is a poo player.

Incorrect! It is possibly a more "fun" movie, but by no means better.

Come on, don't I look friendly?

Marek and I played all the games they had on display for the DS and maybe one of them actually used both screens for anything useful. It was this crazy game where you draw bubbles on the bottom screen and they show up on the top screen, but really it could have been entirely done on the bottom one. The feature that's actually cool (and inexplicably underplayed) is the stylus, which allows for craziness in games like WarioWare and others. Honestly, I would have a lot more enthusiasm for this thing if it just had the stylus and ONE screen.

When you discover your friend suddenly owns an abandonned train car...

There has to be some way we can work this into a feature... -

Oh man, check out the banner at the top of the DFAN page. Holy crap.

Stuff like this seems inevitable when games miss their release mark by this much. I too am not quite as head-explodingly enthused as I once was...

This thing freezes up for me a lot, but it is most definitely a noble endeavor.
