What's a TFT? Some kind of flat screen hyper plasma moon display?
-
Go ahead, the street names are "incredulity" and "consternation"

Oh, wait a second. For some reason I read the second price as $1299 or something. $800 for a video card?! My subconscious must have been blocking it out to avoid trauma!
-
Those overall prices don't seem as gougy as I'd expect from a pre-made setup by one of the big companies such as Compaq. Crazy. Although computer technology is increasing so fast these days that I never know what's considered the best...
-
It's certainly what turns me off... Speaking as someone who built his own PCs back in the 486 days (and hasn't built too many since), it still blows my mind that the graphics card is often the most expensive part of a decent PC, and usually significantly so.

Oh man, that's really encouraging.

I'm locking this thread before Kingz gets even crazier.

I've never played the game, but doesn't Giants: Citizen Kabuto have an enormous enemy as one of the forces you must fight (and I guess in multiplayer you can play as that guY)? Jake?

Get out.

Well, there are also the people (like me) who recognize that those are in fact different games and will buy Half-Life 2 just because that's the game they want. EDIT: There are also the people who will not in fact buy any of them but will play them all.

The official How Would You Seduce Yufster? thread!

I'd, like, take you over to Double Fine and introduce you to Tim. -
In reality, I'm 53, but I'm in denial about my age (this post was very difficult for me) and have made a practice of lying to forums when I sign up.

If they could somehow work it out, an MMO in which one person has to rise to the rank of Captain through a long hard process requiring tons of crap would be relaly cool. I'd suspect there would be some sort of time-limiting mechanism so one player couldn't just dominate the role for ages, but I like the idea of players actually being able to inhabit a true heirarchy, if for no other reason than I don't think any other MMO actually does that. That said, I don't know anything about Star Trek and I don't know what the captain of a ship in that world does other than decide where to go, so maybe it wouldn't be fun, but Kirk was always doing fun stuff right?

Yeah, but like the article says, traditional game controllers just aren't shaped right.
-
Yeah, that was me. Sorry.

Thanks, Yuf. That damn 21 keeps eluding my grasp. Next time, Gadget, next time! Now that is hot.

Yes, Halo co-op is boatloads of fun. Really adds a ton of value to the campaign mode.
-
It's relevant to the better-than-you Halo bashers. Ok, I'm done. Sorry.

Two words: Halo multiplayer
-
(and the multiplayer totally rules)

Have you played Beyond Good and Evil? If not, pick it up no questions asked. Surely one of the best and most underappreciated games of recent years. Also Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, which got a lot of critical acclaim but didn't actually sell very well. I'm also really enjoying Freedom Fighters for its rather unique tactical gameplay. None of those games are Xbox-exclusive, but neither are the ones you mentioned I guess. "One of the worst games"? Either you haven't played many games, or you're just trying to be inflammitory. "Linear" and "repetitive" do not make a bad game, and "dull" is extremely subjective. And no matter what, I don't see how you could call Halo's multiplayer any of those things. The game became as popular as it is primarily due to its multiplayer, which is varied (a ludicrous amount of game types) and balanced. And really, really fun.
