  1. Well, I didn't intend to. That's the point. You seemed to want an explanation though, so as I am actively avoiding my orchestration homework I decided to go all out. Exactly.
  2. The Future of adventure games?

Just send an im to itsamarek. It's a blast.
  3. I just found it funny that you went out of your way to justify not reading Mein Kampf, whereas there's not really any need to explain not reading any particular book unless for some reason someone is demanding why not; also that you said you will read "some other book" which implied that there is some void in your literary repertoire exactly one book in size which will most definitely not be filled by Mein Kampf but will in fact by filled by another specific book not yet determined. My post should not be read as any kind of attack or bizarrely subtle mockery, I simply found your wording amusing and clearly failed to get that point across.
  4. Scrapland

You just wait a few years...
  5. I'm not sure how those things could be inferred from my statement (except for #3, which you seem to infer from all my statements), but whatever floats your boat.
  6. I think he's more referring to unnecessary and annoying dorky Shaun of the Dead impressions on the part of EB staff than to the movie itself. I'm inclined to agree with him too.
  7. Beyond Good & Evil With Great Spoilers

I guess, although saying something like "it damages the narrative of the game" sort of implies a grander fault, whereas this was perhaps just an isolated instance of poor taste. But yeah, I agree that it was sort of a cheesy thing to tack on.
  8. The Future of adventure games?

Yeah, I talk to that guy sometimes too.
  9. Five blades indeed. That is the ultimate lose.
  10. Beyond Good & Evil With Great Spoilers

Well, Michel Ancel wanted to do a sequel but Ubisoft isn't letting him so I guess you'll have your way.
  11. The Future of adventure games?

Yes, and I crapped my pants 20 times.
  12. The Future of adventure games?

To repeat myself from elsewhere, yes, I feel the same way exactly.
  13. Star Wars Battlefront for Xbox

The single-player is totally lame due to the AI being utter crap. Xbox Live play really varies, and depends a lot on the connection of the person hosting the game. I've played some really solid battles and some ones that were quite laggy. On the whole it definitely wasn't worth purchasing for me. I'd recommend sticking it out and seeing if the community develops. Right now nobody uses their headsets for the right reasons (that is, any sort of tactical purpose), it's just annoying chatter. Then again, it was just released so it'll probably take some time.
  14. Fable: The Official Hero Progress Report Thread

Ah, cool. I know where the guy is, I just didn't know if I should hold out and see if he gets some better names later or what. I just beat the Arena, so I've got some gold to spare. Time for a new title.
  15. Fable: The Official Hero Progress Report Thread

Hero renown name: Chicken Chaser still, because I haven't decided which new one I want. Can you change it after you buy one? Behaviour: Flirts and farts at friggin everybody. I'm serious. Sometimes I'll just start flirting and farting and suddenly wonder where those 20 minutes went. Skills status progress: I'm trying to level my three areas pretty evenly, but the damn bows seem to frustrating to bother. Zapping people is fun though. Alignment: Tries his damndest to be good, but keeps killing people due to using auto-aim with the lightning spell. Damnit! Appearance: The closest beard I could find to my own beard, plus whatever lame clothes I can buy that don't give me an alignment modifier of -3095.
  16. Fable gone gold

I know a friend who beat the game having done almost everything there is to do and he was allowed to continue playing. Perhaps once you've done every single quest the game truly ends.
  17. Tell Us About Yourself

This guy served me well back in the day...
  18. Valve vs. Vivendi

    What's your problem with Valve?
  19. Why must apple torment me so?

Well, some of them should anyway.
  20. Itchy Loomy Sweater

More like you should play it again so I don't have to play it again to post screenshots.
  21. Itchy Loomy Sweater

It's not at the end of the game. If I'm wrong about this someone let me know.
  22. YAR! it be talk like a pirate day!

It be havin' a like spirit, ye mean! Arrr!
  23. Horror games, 1st person or 3rd person?

There are definitely games with multiple perspective modes, and there are games that let you choose perspective. Halo, like Tribes I believe and many other games I'm sure (it just comes to mind since I play it so often; please no Halo-bashing in this thread), gives you a first person perspective for most of the game and a third person perspective when you're in vehicles. It's a good example of the "right perspective for the right situation". Also, I was playing Star Wars Battlefront the other day and in that game (again, like others that don't come to mind at the moment) you can choose at pretty much any point in the game whether you want to use first or third person perspective.
