Does that not apply to swords and stuff too? I mean it wouldn't be fun getting killed in one hit whether it's a bow or a sword or an axe or a banana or anything else.
-
You can do that, or you can use auto targetting, or you can just fire in the direction your guy is already aiming.
-
In Fable you can use bows to fairly decent effect, but it's still a pain in the ass (and I have the best bow in the game I believe) and would probably result in major headaches if it was my main specialization.

How much of his music have you listened to? I'm no big fan of his animations, but he's clearly a fairly talented musician and producer, especially considering he does all the elements of the music himself. EDIT: Argh, I totally misread your post and thought you said "It always annoyed me that he got all that recognition for his 'animutations' and his music, which actually has the advantage of not being very good." I mentally moved the "not" to the wrong place. Why? I'M AN IDIOT.

Been playing a bit of the old Fable lately, eh?

I know, like I said we're clearly not trying to be GameSpot, but on the other hand I'm not sure I'm thrilled about the idea of us being equivalent to a lot of other "edgy" amateur sites.

O'Brien to Take Over The Tonight Show in 2009

His jokes are occasionally passable, but yes it drives me crazy that he can't stop himself from finding them all terribly amusing and clearly displaying as such to the audience. -
*cough* duct tape... Seriously though, there is more profanity on Thumbs than on comparable sites. Most gaming journalism sites don't really use "fuck" at all, and while we're clearly not attempting to be as sterile as GameSpot or something, I can see where people could (mis)read us as "That cRaZy gaming site who cusses all the time!"

You should post news about CNN's credibility being lost in the basement of a Florida bar. -

John Stewert drives me crazy. Like, in the bad way. I think his "satire" is the opposite of satire but rather overly obvious political jokes that never go far beyond "ha, it's pretty hilarious that [politician] had a goofy face or said something stupid". It wouldn't bother me so much if Stewert didn't clearly think he's the hottest shit of all time and if he didn't think he was so damn smart. On the other hand, I really like Lewis Black's segment and I feel like he actually has some understanding of the stuff he's making fun of. -

He better keep the Max Weinberg Seven. Weinberg is a badass drummer. Even just watching him play entertains me. -
Fable: The Official Hero Progress Report Thread

The names are used for nothing but identification. Since people can't pronounce the name you type in for your character, they have to refer to you by title. They still despise you if you kill their friends or whatever, even if your name is "Liberator". -
It's like The Beatles meets Monty Python or something. Awesome!

Ladies and gentlemen, the Kingzjester! -
That would be Dogman for our readers not hailing from the incestuous internet adventure community (all three of you). (Also I agree.)
-
Man, it's so lame that there's confusion about this.

Nothing is more retarded than the "pre-order" system in gaming retail.

Wow, that was a really good news post. -
Trapezoid invented the term "animutation" but is it actually a widespread internet term? Maybe it is and I just don't keep up with these things...
-
It's kind of lame that the article didn't mention at all that the game is also coming to Xbox and PC. That said, I think Psychonauts is a fairly good fit for the PS2. I have a few worries about it not looking as good as it will on the Xbox, but the PS2 is definitely more of a home to wacky platformers, and I suspect it will have more potential buyers there.

I just married a guy in Fable. EDIT: This should not be considered an entry in this thread...

I hope to eventually emerge.
