Well, I'm sure it was all in good humour.

I'm sure it was fine, but the guy was asking for games that play better with a gamepad. I suspect those games do, as they were clearly designed for it. Are you going to respond like that every time anyone offers any suggestions?

I suspect stuff like Beyond Good and Evil and POP: Sands of Time are way better with a gamepad. I played those games on Xbox and PS2 and I can't imagine having to use a keyboard and mouse.

I didn't receive any games (unsurprisingly) but I did finally buy myself Katamari Damacy, after beating it at a friend's house twice.

Don't I know!

Downloading HL2 didn't really take effort though, did it?

Man if it ever snowed here in San Diego I think people would riot. When it fucking rains here people don't even know what to do.

Tijuana Christmas and other ironically-appreciated holiday terrors

Yeah, that sounds...way...better... -
I kind of like Gamespot's year-end awards. After all, as I mention as often as I possibly can, in 1998 when everyone was giving awards to Half-Life and Thief and StarCraft and Unreal and Rainbow Six and Baldur's Gate and all the other ridiculously good games that came out that year, Gamespot gave their Game of the Year award to Grim Fucking Fandango. That pretty much rules. So I like the Gamespot awards. Anyway, the obvious games topped the list: Halo 2, Half-Life 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 with 7 nominations each, GTA with 9, and friggin Chronicles of Riddick with an amazing 13, but you know what the next-highest game is? Katamari Fucking Damacy with 5. That is, it's the highest of the "mortal" games that everyone didn't already expect to get a million awards. Wooo! That's a tie, though, with a couple other games such as Paper Fucking Mario 2, which I am likewise pleased about. I hope a lot of people played that game, because it was awesome, but I don't hear it talked about very much. Prince of Persia was nominated for the "Most Baditude" award and I can only hope that's an ironic award and not actually saying the game is badass or awesome. In their review of the game they were pretty critical of the Prince's new image, though, so hopefully that's a good sign.

No, ahhh, I think it's actually more of a "j" sound.

No, no, don't believe him. It's personal.

Well, I think Kingz' signature has improved a thousand times over. And that's good enough for me!
-
Ah, PC gaming... returning to it has not been nearly as satisfying as I had hoped...

More evidence that the Katamari Damacy HL2 mod needs to be made.
-
Hahaha, "Everyone's Favorite Katamari Damacy".
-
I think it was mainly that it was a followup to a great game, and while people might not have expected greatness they were still disappointed with such a poor successor to a classic.

Playing with his eww? No! He's playing with his poo! A poem, by me.

"Heteronormative"?? This from the guy who tries to classify people's sexual orientation by smell... It sometimes feels like you're going out of your way to reinforce stereotypes than do anything to break them down.
-
Deadworm's usage of sexual language and description reminds me of teenagers who have just discovered that they can swear without getting in trouble, and so they do it as much as humanly possible.

He just meant that Idle Thumbs itself has only been around since May of this year. It's still kind of sad to me that most people seem to see us as just sort of an extension of the whole AG/Mojo/Scumm Bar network...
-
It's the best fake-out of all time. Hurrah Idle Thumbs!
-
Well, to be fair, it's on two platforms, which gave it an extra nomination, and several of its nominations were in categories HL2 couldn't reasonably expect to get, such as Best Original Music and the like.

That's what I'm talking about!
